The Maltese immigrants in the post-War Era in London had, much like the working class East Enders at the time, quite a reputation. They were known for being violent pimps and mobsters who ran pretty big brothels. The most well known of them were the Messina borthers.
How are they doing now? Are they still active or ( my pick ) have they completely died out, just as the traditional East End gangsters have.

the messina brothers disappeared in the 60s i think
they were born in malta by sicilian parents
