Took this about 5 minutes ago, measured it in the area i shoveled and checked to the top of the bank and it measured about 28 inches give or take, and theyre still expecting more.

we only got about 5 inches here, and it was very light snow, the total opposite of what we got post-sandy.i ended up going out last night around 2am to clear the apartment complex that my boss has a contract for, it was cold and windy but not too bad! ended up with $160 for less than 5 hours work, which isn't bad. got home a 2 hours ago, took care of our driveway here. then hopped in the shower. now i'm enjoying a beer and a bacon sandwich, and a nap is in order soon!

i posted some shots in the "what we look like" section of what it looked like outside here at about 8am or so.

In my part of Brooklyn about 12 inches fell. Hired some guys to clean the snow off the drive way and the front of the house. It's good now

That sure was a LOT of snow!

I'm watching some local tv coverage of the storm here on Long Island. They showed some live coverage of about 40 people, or so, being rescued from their stranded cars on the Long Island Expressway. These people were stuck in their cars since 11:00 last night in an area that was buried under 30 inches of snow. Many of these people had called 911 and they were basically told to just sit there until help came. Firefighters responded 12 hours later!!

The storm side-stepped us in Harrisburg. A dusting last night and nothing left this morning. It's sunny, cold and a little windy.

You're tellin me, it was enough that they have a state wide driving ban...theres also enough snow that the snow blower just bogs down and stalls out.

Cape cod is basically without power. The wind isn't as strong as it was this morning but everyone is inside staying warm. My street is entirely without electricity. That along with almost 2 feet of snow

You guys are lucky to get all that snow. Haven't gotten much snow in Illinois this year. I love the snow

We got about a foot here. It must have stopped earlier than they predicted. I headed up to bed around 1 in the morning, and the 12" ruler we had stuck in the snow was almost buried. We only got about another inch after that. They had forecasted snow until 10 in the morning, so it must have ended a lot earlier than that.

We were supposed to get snow again this week-end but it has never arrived. Not complaining of course.

We've had a night of snow, not settled on the pavements much though as it's only fine snow..

Had a crappy day of snow and wind yesterday, but today all the snow has melted and it is much milder.

barely got any snow this winter. you guys who got the blizzard are lucky

There has been some weird cold going around here. It gets stuck in your chest/throat area and lasts for weeks. I'm going on week 3 and I'm told it can last for 6 weeks. I don't feel bad and have not other symptoms, but between noon and 5pm I get this horrible sounding cough and spit up a little bit of phlegm. More vodka.

Weather was great today - hit 58; rain or snow on the way.

After being spoiled by sunshine and weather in the upper 40s all week, we have been plunged into a frigid cold and high winds.
