could we get back to rare photo's please? I second that! I do not think we may see many More "Rare" photos since some think it inappropriate to show Rare pics. I think it would be hard to show a " Rare" pic without showing some family members or unsubs = ( unidentified). Oh yes and Rare = Uncommon / Extraordinary quality above others. DP

Fifty years ago today, March 5, 1963: Thousands overflow a South Brooklyn street for a glimpse of the Anthony Anastasio funeral procession as it moves slowly from the church. The union boss of the Brooklyn waterfront died March 1, age 57, of a heart condition. In addition to 15 flower cars, the funeral procession included about 50 limousines. Anastasio was Albert Anastasia's brother.

Nice find, SC. Since you're out of Brooklyn... That photograph is looking east from Summit Street between Hicks and Henry, where it turns into to 1st Place. The property of the church where Tony had his funeral, St Stephen, goes east from between Carroll and Summit. Joey was in the can then, of course, but I wonder if the other Gallo brothers or anyone else from the crew was there since, besides paying 'respects,' they were like a two minute walk away. rare photos thread---since when is that shot from Tough Tony 's funeral rare? Lighten up, it's Saturday. SC was obviously posting that pic because it was taken 50 years ago TODAY. I've never seen it, so it's rare to me. Post a rare instead of complaining. Thanks for the pic, SC. Never seen it.

Not sure if these have been posted before, but after hearing about Jimmy Nap on some mob documentary's I did a little digging and found these on Tony Nap's (Jimmy's son) website. Genovese Caporegime and the New York Mafia's 'super banker' James "Jimmy Nap" Napoli, during the 1970's he controlled the largest illegal gambling operation in the United States which allegedly employed two thousand people and grossed over $150 million a year. Jimmy Nap (right) at a boxing match in the 70's, throughout his career Napoli was indicted for fixing several boxing bouts. Napoli and associates doing time in Danbury Connecticut in the 80's. A photograph of Jimmy outside one of his crews favourite hangouts, Crisci's Restaurant in Brooklyn. Napoli enjoyed fine foods, good wine and a life of luxury, he was known as a "Gentleman's Gentleman".

Call him whatever you want, Gresdy Pete has good taste in women! A few of the girls hired to work at D&P and J&K are former dancers at Diamonds. All of them are incredibly hot. I would bet Joe "The Chinaman" DiFronzo is still hounding them.
