Bonnie Franklin, the mom from One day at a Time, died today. She was 68.
Oh no! It seems like I just heard she was ill (cancer?) Sorry to hear that.

I remember Franklin mostly from the show One Day at a Time with Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli. Hard to believe Phillips is still alive with the WILD lifestyle she had.

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." Winter is Coming Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Yea, I just heard this a couple days ago. They had a segment of an interview on the radio Sunday. I didn't remember (or if I knew I forgot) that Smokey's first wife was a part of the Miracles, at least in the beginning.
RIP Bobby Rogers, part of a great Motown group!

Oh yea, I remember The Birds & The Bees. Very catchy tune. I might be wrong but I think it was Akens only hit as a solo artist. I see by the article he performed in several groups before he went solo.

Looks like actress Valerie Harper (best known as 'Rhoda' on the "Mary Tyler Moore" show) will be joining the list this year. It's being reported that the 73 year has inoperable brain cancer and may have less than three months to live.

I am so sorry to hear that. Can you imagine? Bad enough knowing it's terminal but 3 months is NOT long at all. My God,how do you deal with and/or plan for your last 3 months? Valerie says she's not thinking of dying. She's thinking of living. Boy, great attitude. I don't think I could do it.
Anyway, her Rhoda character is one of my all-time favorite tv characters.

Former WWE manager Paul Bearer has died at 58. Managed many pro wrestling personalities from Vader to Kane to Mick Foley, but he's most memorably linked to the Undertaker. Outside of wrestling he was a licensed, practicing mortician.
Rest in Peace.

With her and Bonnie Franklin gone, the whole 70's CBS comedy lineup is dying off. Is Alan Aldo next?

Stage and television actor Malachi Throne died March 13 at age 84. He was well-known for his appearances on TV shows such as "Star Trek" (OS and TNG), "Batman" (as False Face), "Mission Impossible", "Outer Limits" and countless others. He also had a recurring role on "It Takes A Thief," as well as voicing many cartoon characters.
RIP

The name sure didn't ring a bell but the picture did. I know him best as Robert Wagner's boss on It Takes A Thief. I always watched that show. I really don't know him from the other shows. RIP

Any of you crepe hangers have Valerie Harper. People magazine has her on the short-timers list.
Yes - SC posted the info back on March 6:
