I have a few questions about this crew. I always knew that the Lucchese Family had a strong presence there, but only recently understood just how strong it was.
(1) Does ANYONE in the world have a picture of Joeseph Abate? I have been wondering what he looks like for a very long time. (2) When is Mad Dog expected to get out of prison? (3) Just how poerful is Ralph Vito Perna? If Mad Dog is released, is it correct to assume that he will be the "Boss" of the crew (as well as a capo for the Luccheses) and that Perna will be under him for the purposes of the Jersey hierarchy (though still clearly a Lucchese capo). (4) Who are the other active Capos in the Jersey Crew? (5) It seems to me that the Jersey Crew likely has about 30 made guys. If the estimates are correct, this could account for around 30% of the entire Lucchese Family. With the irrelevance of Cutaia and the Brownsville Crew and the demise of Casso/Amusso, it really seems like the Geographic Territory of the Lucchese Family is in the Bronx, Manhattan and New Jersey. Seem Right? Unless Castelluci is a powerhouse . . .

According to Michael Taccetta´s wiki page:
"As of April 2012, Michael Taccetta, at age 61, was imprisoned in New Jersey's South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He is first eligible for parole on August 13, 2013"
And according to Martin Taccetta´s wiki page:
"In 1991, Accetturo and the Taccetta brothers were indicted on charges of racketeering, narcotics, illegal gambling, extortion, loansharking, conspiracy and the 1984 Craporatta murder. Reacting to the indictments and the murder contract from Amuso, Accetturo decided to become a government witness and testified against both Martin and Michael Taccetta. In 1993, Martin Taccetta was acquitted of murder, but convicted of racketeering charges and, along with his brother, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. In 2001, Martin Taccetta's lawyers uncovered a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) memo that said their confidential informants cleared Taccetta from the Craporatta murder. For some reason, this memo was not produced during Taccetta's trial. The lawyers were planning to use this information to appeal his conviction. On December 8, 2005, after serving ten years in prison, Martin Taccetta was released on appeal. A state Superior Court judge ruled he had not received adequate legal representation prior to his 1993 trial. Taccetta had rejected a plea bargain deal from the government based on inadequate advice from his attorney.
New indictment
On May 8, 2008, Martin Tacchetta was indicted along with 23 other New Jersey gangsters for racketeering. Taccetta's charges included conspiring to use extortion to collect a loan from an unidentified debtor and for conspiring in 2007 with Gambino mobster Andrew Merola to extort $20,000 from contractors to allow non-union labor on a construction project in Morristown, New Jersey. In August 2009, the New Jersey Supreme Court overturned the Superior Court ruling and reinstated Martin Taccetta's 1993 racketeering sentence.[3] NJ State Attorney General Anne Milgram made the following statement: “For decades Marty Taccetta was one of the most prolific members of organized crime, whose power and control over the Lucchese family threatened the residents of New Jersey and illegally impacted commercial activity. We are gratified that the Supreme Court’s decision will ensure that he will be returned to state prison to serve the remainder of his sentence of life plus 10 years for racketeering and extortion.” On June 10, 2010, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman moved to dismiss the pending counts against Taccetta "because further prosecution of these charges is not in the interests of the United States at this time," according to a court order. As of November 2011, Martin Taccetta is serving his life sentence at the New Jersey State Prison in Trenton, New Jersey."
///Wiki seems to be correct here. So it´s actually Martin Taccetta who is serving life. Sorry for the misinformation earlier.

Its Mike T and Marty T first off. Their crew is the same as the Perna crew. Presently. Idk about back in the day. There is no boss of Jersey. No top capo. Most nj guys are under indictment or in prison or on supervised release, so they sent a bx guy over to handle whos left. And please dont ask about big fatass bucky caravaggio bc hes not a captain. He was a 50 year old man under carlo taccetta when he got made. Hes doesnt hold a candle to the M&Ms or the Pernas. If they are all out at the same time, no restrictions or anything, Mike Perna would run that crew. I think the bx hates Mike T anyways.... Idk about 30 guys. Im not saying im a nj oc encyclopedia but i can only think of like a dozen. The pernas have more juice than the m&ms. And please for the love of god, stop calling him mad dog, ur trying to act like your tight with the guy, calling him his nickname, but that has never been his nickname. Idk why i bother, i just find it annoying.

How about Joey Giampa? And who is the guy from the Bronx you are referring to? Joey G is still Bronx based. Always has been, always will be. Lives in Westchester. His position with the Jersey faction is analogous to what Prisco's was with the Westside. He's more of a go-between NY and NJ than anything else. As I've posted before, he's smart, well respected and very tight with Stevie. It wouldn't surprise me if he becomes number two except for the fact that his stepson ratted many years ago and some jealous people could use that against him. So you might say he's the highest ranking guy in Jersey, unless you want to get technical and call him a go between. Whatever floats your boat. And Mike will be home this summer. Marty ain't ever coming home.

His daughter was worse! Looked like a horse kicked her in the face and shat on her face! Ouch. Then she married that bum with one eye from seacaucus! Been chased from more crews than anyone in the history of the Jersey mob. Figured he'd "marry up." Moron. Who rumor has it fucked a dead woman at a funeral parlor in kearny. A man's gotta relax, Skin.

Michael t was always called Michael T and NEVER was called mad dog. Not because anyone was afraid to call him that, its just that his nick name was never mad dog. I think that crew now answers to " hooks". I could be wrong though.

I think that crew now answers to " hooks". I could be wrong though. Johnny is still Bronx based. But he's very close to Joey G, who functions as a conduit between the Jersey and the old Harlem/Westchester/Bronx factions of the family. But those guys both carry a LOT of weight with Stevie and the administration, so having some say in Jersey isn't out of the question .

Salvatore Clemente: Anybody got info on this guy? I assume he was a Lucchese cause they interview him in all the Vic & Gas documentaries. He sounds like a half a retard from Brooklyn had a kid with someone who had a stroke who was from Brooklyn? (didn't feel like starting my own thread for such a sideline player).
