Pete "the crumb" Caprio testified that he was approached by the Genovese to kill the three Philly guys and take over the Family. It has been discussed before, and the general consensus was that a Newark guy would have a hard time gaining the loyalty of the South Philly members. Therefore, Caprio and the Newark crew would not be able to successfully run the Philly Mob from Newark. Caprio was busted and flipped before the plan was carried out.
