I know my cousin's happy, she lives right by there so she can sleep easy with her husband and 2 kids. I would assume his injuries are somewhat severe, after all he's been bleeding out since this morning. Credit goes to not just Boston and Mass State Police, but to all the local cops that came and help, all the regional cops like New Hampshire State Police, Rhode Island, even the NY/NJ Port authority who came up to support the bombing investigation and even helped grill up some burgers for the guys out there today. Credit also goes to the FBI, ATF, HSI, hell even the DEA.

I can imagine how tense & scary it was for the people in the city. I hear the boat was in someone's backyard. The woman saw blood on the boat and called the police. Now THAT'S close

I'm glad that there was no more loss of innocent lives, and they have the SOB in custody. Honestly, I thought he would either go down shooting or commit suicide rather than be taken alive.

But now Boston (and the surrounding areas) can breathe again. Actually, I guess we all can breathe again!

He did go down shooting, but was wounded from the earlier fighting and i assume just couldn't fight anymore.

This just goes to show one thing: if you fuck with Boston, Massachusetts they will shut down the entire city, get every name in law enforcement on the case, and hunt your ass down until your caught and then locked in a cage.

When this nightmare started, CNN speculated it was domestic right-wing terrorists behind this. Fox News speculated Al Qaeda. Both turned out to be wrong.

Again news media, DON'T SPECULATE. Report facts, report what's on the ground, don't just regurgitate what you hear/read online or from some guy that knows a guy who's cousins of a cop.

Exactly right. The media coverage of this was so full of mistakes, false conclusions and gibberish, it was really difficult to follow it.

I heard that conspiracy talk at my workplace yesterday, how Obama wants to "distract" the public from his nefarious plans and North Korea. (BREAKING NEWS: North Korea still full of hot air. Carry on!)

Which really is fucking stupid when you think for a hard minute about this concept. People have short attention spans. By next week, we'll be worried about some other shit going on in the news. Anyway, I saw briefly Fox News running a segment asking if the public is too PC about Muslims. Instead of talking about those people allegedly arrested in connection possibly with this bombing/mayhem. Which if you ask me is actual NEWS, not ideological porn which some people actually confuse for news these days.

I mean the fuckin' Chechnyans. Is this a plot by people connected with them in an international conspiracy or just somebody isolated activists who wanted to kill people to bring attention to their cause? Are they bringing their cause over here instead of just in Russia?

i read an article about muslim americans before these guys identities were known, it was about how they were hoping that it wasnt someone of arabic or muslim descent. To be honest i dont see what they are so worried about because lately when it comes to mass murder on american soil against american citizens, muslims should be the least of fox news is worries. And if we are being too PC about muslims what about young white men who walk into movie theatres, schools and places of worship to kill more than the three people these animals killed.

There is a new terrorism on the rise hear in the good ole USA. I don't think it has a name yet, but it's extremist, misguided hatred. It takes the form of any human being with a big grudge who has access to guns, explosives and the internet know-how to make a bomb.
