Maybe that works for Gabrielle and her husband. There are dynamics within every relationship that often mystify me, and I would rather shoot myself than live my life that way, but if it works for them, and they're both happy, who are we to judge?? Although I think she's wrong to say that it should be that way for every woman, but perhaps she just wants to pass on what has made her marriage successful.
Marriage is a partnership. IMO, it can only work when the partners are equal and equally respected. So true. a good relationship is well balanced. Each should know when to let the other take the lead /control of things. There are times when a man needs it seems to feel he is the man and protector of his family to feel like a man so a smart women should understand this,..... just like a man should understand that a women somethings has the need to feel that she is just equal (which she is) and matters in the relationship. The man sure should remember to express this to her because many men just don't say things enough. No two people match up perfect, each has his or her strengths in different areas. There is nothing wrong with taken the back seat to your parnter at times no matter what sex you are. What goes around comes around.

VATICAN CITY -- Pope Francis has reaffirmed the Vatican's criticism of a body that represents U.S. nuns that the Church said was tainted by "radical" feminism, dashing hopes that he might take a softer stand with the sisters.
Francis's predecessor, Benedict, decreed that the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), a group that represents more than 80 percent of the 57,000 Catholic nuns in the United States, must change its ways, a ruling that the Vatican said on Monday still applied.
Last year, a Vatican report said the LCWR had "serious doctrinal problems" and promoted "radical feminist themes incompatible with the Catholic faith," criticizing it for taking a soft line on issues such as birth control and homosexuality.

Fun at work last night. A girl who came in bought along her drunk boyfriend and a couple of his lowlife pals, who were hanging around the main entrance making a lot of noise and generally being pains in the butt. So when a colleague and myself approached them to ask them to calm down the boyfriend launched into a tirade of abuse and at the height of it,a big bread knife fell out the back of his joggers. I nearly shit myself, we backed off and rang the police on the old hotline whilst he picked up the knife and ran out the door whilst threatening to find out where we lived and come"get us"!! Anyways the law were there in a flash and observed him trying to throw the knife into a bush. The long and short of it is he is already out on bail after a stabbing incident a couple of weeks ago. Why he is carrying a bread knife around i will never know?? Also turns out he was high as a kite on coke... Interesting world we live in these days eh? My underpants were ruined
I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees!

Happy Birthday to my Martin D-35 guitar. 40 years old this year. She's great source of comfort and expression. If you don't know, Martin is called "America's Guitar", established in 1833, the Martin family stills owns and operates the factory in Nazareth, PA. Martin guitars are considered by many artists to be the instrument of choice - Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, Paul Simon to name a few. Also the company that designed the dreadnaught style acoustic.

Do municipalities remove signs that aren't pertinent anymore? For instance; is there a sign in your town on a local road that reads "Deaf Child in Area",... Oh yeah... there's a "Deaf Child Area" sign down the block from me that's been there all my life! I've always asked myself the same questions! Of course there's also the "Slow Children (At Play)" signs -- I think that's pretty rude to call some children slow.
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I've been on the lookout for those pedestrians without hands and feet. Missing feet could really be a problem. There is a two lane country road by me with scattered houses. The speed limit is 50 mph, and there are signs that say "Watch for Children". In six years I've never seen any, but I keep watching.

Female Catholic priest ordained in Kentucky (controversy expected)
.... [Source]
Apparently this didn't make the News, so, what's the source? While I have witnessed some damn good women preachers in my life (okay, one comes to mind)... she wasn't Catholic. But I don't think that matters. A good preacher is a good preacher, it shouldn't matter if it's a (male) Priest or a (female) Preacher. Anyone can spread the Word and make a positive impact on someone. This reminds me of the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) "rule" of discrimination against gays. BSA says "no" (although I think that's gonna change soon), but they've said "no" for 100 years... and the Catholic Church has said "no" for 2000 years... Right/wrong? That's a separate debate. They're both practically-Political organizations that have their rules, and, you can either abide by their rules or not. No one's forced into the Church any more than they're forced into Scouting. Do *I* have a problem with women priests or gay scouts or scoutmasters? Not really. But my (or your) opinion doesn't matter; the organizations have their rules, and we can agree or disagree, but that's that. Rules change for the better or worse. We just have to see what happens....
