Remember this fellas. And I know a lot of you guys don't have the first hand experience and that's ok. But don't believe everything these guys say on taps and what the FBI says. Not saying its all untrue but.......
A guy I know that I am close with tells everyone he's broke. Meanwhile he's making a killing. A lot of people cry poverty to keep the wolves at bay and so clients don't think your so rich they don't have to pay
Not saying I'm right in Gary's case I'm just sayin. Don't believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. Or something like that.
I agree, if you let people know you are balling it big, you get a bullet in your head and someone takes over your businesses. I think guys like Uncle Joe would hang it up if they were only making $5-10k a month, more like $20-30K..

I think guys like Uncle Joe would hang it up if they were only making $5-10k a month, more like $20-30K.. 5 to 10k a month you might as well work a legit job where every time someone knocks at your front door your not wondering if this is the big pinch. If Ligambi wasn't bring in at least 500k a year then he should of lit a fire under his guys and told them to start bringing in some real money. Maybe send some extra tax collectors back to the street to shake down the guys who are making out. Even 500k for a mob boss seems embarrassingly low to me. I guess thats the current reality though. I think 500K a year is decent for any boss outside NYC.

Obviously it's impossible to get an exact figure. However, we do know a few things. JMA was estimated to be grossing at least $1 million a year. But it could have been two or three times that. Figuring conservatively, after the standard 50/50 split with the business owners, that would conceivably leave $500k to be split between Ligambi, Massimino, and Staino. One assumes Ligambi got the biggest cut. He also had his $50k a year no-show job with Top Job disposal, as well as interests in real estate and a towing company. And, of course, there's whatever tribute he received, as boss, from family members and associates.

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/crime...r-mobsters.htmlSentencings delayed for Mousie, others in mob case John P. Martin June 4, 2013 Mousie must wait another month for Judgment Day. For the second time in a month, a federal judge has rescheduled the sentencing hearing for Joseph "Mousie" Massimino, the reputed underboss of the Philadelphia mob. Massimino, 63, was scheduled to be sentenced on racketeering conspiracy charges this Wednesday, but U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno has pushed the hearing back until July 11. As we reported here last week, Massimino's lawyer believes he deserves less than six years in prison after being convicted in the marathon trial that ended with mixed verdicts earlier this year. Prosecutors have yet to publicly file their sentencing memo, but are expected to argue for well more than a decade in prison, especially given Massimino's long criminal history. Robreno also rescheduled the sentencing hearings of the only two other defendants jurors convicted of the conspiracy. Reputed mob associate Gary Battaligni is set to be sentenced on July 12. Alleged soldier Damion Canalichio will follow four days later, on July 16. Reputed mob boss Joseph "Uncle Joe" Ligambi and his nephew and alleged capo, George "Georgie" Borgesi, are still on track for an October retrial after the jury deadlocked on the conspiracy charge against them.

Robreno is going to stick it up Massiminos ass. This is the same judge who wouldent grant Borgesi bail after he beat a conspiracy trial AFTER he already did 11 years. Same guy who wouldent let Ligambi out AFTER he beats the case. For a guy like Massimino who admitted guilt? Get the fuck outta here; Massimino better bend over and lube up. Im thinking 10 years at a minimum.

Fuck respect for the court. Guys gonna get 10 years for video poker machines. Why? Because its immoral? Funny, I didn't hear all this talk of immorality when they are raking in huge tax dollars from state sponsored casinos. Its about the money. They want their [BadWord], the Gov is just another Capo in the structure looking for their piece.

At marine. First let me say I wasn't meaning to disrespect you, it's just my frustration with the situation. I mean, what other criminals in the us are treated like this? It's poker machines! I'm not saying they are good guys, but if they were black, Russian, puerto or Irish they would be getting half the time; u know it and i know it. But when you throw a vowel on the end of a guys name you multiply the time by 3 or 4. It's annoying and blatantly discriminatory, and I'm not just saying that because I'm half Italian.
Gaeton got less time because its his first felony. Yes, partially because he pled it out, but also because its his first. They are going to hammer massimino because he's a "career offender", meanwhile you got child enslavement rapists getting to post bond on there own recognizance.

Feds want Joseph "Mousie" Massimino and Damion Canalichio sentenced to 17 to 21 years each. full article @ http://www.bigtrial.net/2013/06/mobsters-battle-as-sentencings-retrial.htmlFrom the article : "Mobsters Joseph "Mousie" Massimino and Damion Canalichio have to wait at least another month before finding out their fate, but the convicted wiseguys are going to go down swinging. "Lawyers for both Philadelphia crime figures have filed motions challenging pre-sentence reports that suggest each should be sentenced to from 17 to 21 years in prison for their February convictions on racketeering conspiracy charges. Their lawyers argue the guidelines should be in the four- to six-year range." "Their sentencings, postponed for a second time, are now scheduled for July."
