The only part of Detroit I want to ever see is the airport, and that is when I am passing thru it. Not staying there, that is for sure.

Number 24, Tulsa, Oklahoma is a surprise. I think of Oklahoma as a serene, rural area, with a few small cites like Tulsa sprinkled in. I see no Los Angeles and New York neighborhoods made the the list, which might surprise a few people.

It's no surprise that Detroit and Chi share the most on the list but i'm quite shocked that Camden NJ doesn't have any on the list after hearing some people talk about how bad it is on this site.

I understand we all have our opinions on what we consider small to big cities, but Tulsa is definitely not a small city. It's population is over 396,000.

It is about an area, not te whole city. You have to check what is around there that makes this area unsafe?

New York and New Jersey didn't make the list...or Los Angeles. Statistics can be deceptive, yeah, why not Camden, NJ or Atlantic City. Maybe they are not as bad as we think; comparatively speaking.

I too am surprised L.A. didn't make the list. Poor Detroit is really on the skids. Use to be such a neat city.

Each precinct in a big city keeps complete and accurate records of crimes. It's pretty easy to put these numbers together, it's just a matter of putting those reports on a map. And after reading some of these statistics, you couldn't pay me enough to police those neighborhoods!

Sure its computerized but I think its a big deal. We have all these high-tech gadgets installed nowadays but lack a physical presence of police officers which are needed to save these neighborhoods don't you agree we need to take that extra step son?

Camden is a broken city. Kly I'm sure you read about all those cases that they had to overturn and the city then fired the whole police force only to come back with a metro unit.
