I tend to agree. But first things first:

Skinny is no racist. He's a great kid and one of the few remaining sane voices on this board. That being said, I think he's confusing the south end of Queens Boulevard, down by Hillside Avenue, for Forest Hills. That section of Forest Hills borders on Jamaica, which isn't a great place to live. And the further south you go, the worse it gets.

Now I'm a Bronx guy, but I'm in Queens at least three times a week when I'm in New York. And from I can see---and I've spent tons of time there---Forest Hills is beautiful. High end apartment building on the main drag (Queens Boulevard and the neighboring cross streets from Jewel Avenue south to around Union Turnpike), great restaurants on Austin Street, and million dollar private homes off the beaten path. It's a very pretty and very expensive area. I happen to know a thing or two about real estate. And I'll tell you right now, a two bedroom in one of those buildings is going to run you close to two grand a month, if not more.

As far as the Bukharians go, I doubt there's much OC activity other than peripheral links to the Russians. And if they are involved in OC, they're doing a great job of keeping it out of the neighborhood.
