[quote=famed_hitman]Do you think if the former Bonanno Boss, Joe Massino would've skipped getting Cesare Bonventre murdered, what would happen ?
I think in my opinion Bonventre made Massino nervous here is a guy who was brought over from the old country by Galante who loved and trusted "Zips" and this Bonventre was a bodyguard and close to Galante who was involved in the murder of his boss Galante. It shows no loyalty on Bonventre's part. Bonventre is a capo and a potential future threat to Massino and his power. Why would you want a guy like that high up working for you?
Bonventre was a charismatic capo who had Sicilian origins and liked by the whole zip faction of the family. When Massino seized the seat, he seem Bonventre as a danger to his throne by saying ''Bonventre's a dangerous guy'', what if Bonventre wouldn't got killed, instead what if he'd support the three capos against Massino Crew ? What do you think ? Would it get Bonanno Family to the top ? [/q I still don't think if he had lived it would have changed that much of the hierarchy of the Bonnano family. He would still be tainted for the Galante betrayal with other members and I believe eventually taken out if not by Massino but by another boss.
