the luisis in boston were under skinny joey merlino and phillys guys umbrella, cause the new england guys are somewhat of a joke and none of them are 100% italian. the luisis and his crew operated in boston tax free cause they were with philly. , i was just saying what my answer to the poll question would be, that i dont i think merlino is gonna return philly to be the boss, but whether or not he still held the official title while in prison is a different story.

I think Merlino is not the boss or ever will be the boss of Philly that ship has sailed. He be smart to start up in Florida if he isn't done with LCN.

I really have no idea who's running things in philly these days. But we do know up to the date of that meeting between the Gambinos and Ligambi that was taped by Stefanelli, that Merlino was the official boss of the family and Ligambi at that time was the acting boss.

I think the current acting boss is Mazzone and if for any reason Merlino doesn't come back when all of the restrictions are off of him, then i would think Mazzone will become the official boss and John Chang the UB. But those Scarfo guys are a real wildcard. They could cause problems.

Ligambi won't be around for at least a couple more years. I think he's going down at the upcoming trial even if it's considered a bullshit case.

I do think Merlino is still officially the Boss and currently Mazzone is the acting.

When Merlino gets off all his restrictions then we'll know what the deal is. They're not pulling in enough money to keep sending him envelopes so he either comes back and runs things or he stays south and decisions will have to be made. If Joey stays in Boca then i think Mazzone will become the official boss.

in the old days the Genovese or Gambino put the boss up for philly.
