Mannino probably doesn't care, it just surprised me when i read it how much they liked the guy because they didn't like any of the zips. But fucking Mannino they really seemed to like for some reason.

I'm not knocking Cali, I just know besides his brothers that Mannino's has been Gambino's guy and what i said was that "IF" Gambino was really the boss that if he had to choose between the 2 i would bet he would pick Mannino and i still stand by that. But as far as everyone else in the family goes they might very well pick Cali. Mannino did 15 years in the can with John and Joe, he's their guy, always has been.

One thing we don't know about is Cali's relationship to the Gambino brothers though, I know they're not related by blood but a few people on here have said JG is really close to Cali.

I here what you're saing about Mannino though,it's interesting stuff.

Here's a couple of the pages where he's mentioned. There are 1 or 2 more but i'd have to go thru the shit to post them up.

Lorenzo is the guy they like and Joe Gambino is the guy they seem to be insulting. John Gambino put up both his brother Joe and Lorenzo Mannino to be made.

I never said that Cali wasn't close to Gambino. I just said if he had to choose between them right now i bet he would go with Mannino. All these guys are close to each other. Cali's old man was partners with one of the Adamita's and the Adamita's and Gambino's have been friends since they all lived in sicily. They might even be related but i'm not sure about that.

Ok cali is related to Gambino through marriage he's more business savy and more money and clout then mannino , mannino runs a small concrete company
And struggles day to day cali is well liked and has that leadership ability that mannino doesn't have. Also no way is John Gambino boss the family respects him because he is stand up but they don't trust him on a business level the guy would scam and bleed some one dry even his own crew members. The Gambino brothers nd inzerillo kids are all scam artist nd screw any one over and then go hide behind cali. Butttttt if Gambino would have to nominate someone as boss it would be cali he is his nephew and he's just a better guy for the job. The whole family feels that way . Mannino is smart but doesn't have the clout to be a boss
His crew is a mess on 18th ave even when cali ran that crew the down fall of middle manègment are the soldiers and associates these guys have bubble gum gangsters

Aw c'mon Ciccio, the Gambino brothers have to hide behind Cali?

I really doubt that but your entitled to think what you want.

About them being thieves, well i wouldn't trust any of those guys from sicily with a nickel of my money. They're all thieves! lol

Giancarlo , what is your take on the Gambino brothers in 2013 your opinion in them
Maybe I can help shed some light on them. And what position they are in . I'm not being a dick just for conversation sake.

My opinion honestly is that John Gambino has more clout then the others. Those Inzerillo's would all be dead if he didn't get them out of sicily back after Riina started wiping them off the map. No idea if he's the boss though. And i honestly mean that.

But i do believe he lost alot of his money when he was sent away. 3 million i think it was just when he jumped bail in lost bail money. Add on top of that all the seizures of his assets and legal bills over the years and it really cost him big time. He isn't as rich as some people think he is.

No idea on Joe but people really do seem to dislike him for some reason. But i don't think he's as dumb as some people think and he might have a few bucks tucked away.

Sal was the crazy fuck of the family but he's been off the streets for decades. Sitting in Palermo now sipping those expresso's they all seem to love. It will be interesting to see if he tries to get back into shit but if he has any brain cells left he would just retire.

All this is just my opinion though. I could be totally wrong. I don't think so but hey...you never know.

John Gambino was the man in the 80s , he had power and tons of money now he is a capo who is happy of you bring him 400 a week from a poker machine operation.

Joe is still riding his brothers coat tails which aren't as valid as they are .

Frank cali is what John Gambino was but it's 2013 so he doesn't hold as much power as Gambino held in his day . They all answer to cali now he is te new generation.

Sal is better known as sarino on the streets from his name Rosario
I hope he isn't stupid enough to try and get mixed up in shit again. But hey John did after along sentence so who nos.

Good talking to you Giancarlo I enjoy reading your opinions
That's what we are all here for to just shoot the shit.

First off, I wasn't even talking about you, if only because I don't specifically recall you ever saying Gambino is the real boss. If you are saying that, I disagree, but wouldn't lump you in with others who are just throwing out theories. As I've said before, you're one of the relative few local guys on these forums who I actually pay attention to when they post.

That said, it doesn't mean I'm going to take everything you say as gospel or throw what the feds say out the window because you disagree. And when it comes to being "condescending," you've been right up there, pal; at least in recent times. You started out fine but, somewhere along the way, you got an attitude. Started being really belligerent. It seems you have come down with the pic syndrome, where your ego is out of whack.

When have the feds been "horribly wrong" about this issue? Are you talking about the boss issue in general down through the years? If you look at their total history, especially since the 1980's when their intel became much better, the FBI has a very high batting average regarding who's who. People have very little ground to question or criticize when they identify a certain guy in a certain position.

Both of you said what you needed to say, anything more is simple to rub your ego. You guys should let it be now. Besides we have all had this argument before.

Yes, generally speaking they have been correct. But what most argue was the largest single case against LCN was based on faulty information. The SDNY case was even captioned United States vs. Salerno for christ's sake. The feds had NO idea that Chin was the boss at the time. I know first-hand how much of an utter embarassment that trial was for the US Attorney's Office and heads flew because of the screw up.

If we are talking about quantity, then fine. Most of the time the feds correctly indict a Capo and name the various soldiers in his crew. But I am talking about quality indictments. If they made a mistake on the Salerno/Gigante issue once, they can CERTAINLY make it again. This is not to say that Dom is not the Boss. I am directing this post solely at what appears to be your 100% reliance on the government's statements.

Even though i was the one who threw it out there that there are people that believe Cefalu is a frontman and sure anyone even the feds could be wrong....i still think until it's proven otherwise you have to say Cefalu is the top guy. Until an informant, wiretap or some kind of solid evidence comes out that says something differently.

But no harm speculating about different possibilities.

Cafaro flipped in October of '86 I beleive, right before the commission trial was to begin, I bet if he had flipped right after being pinched in March than Fat Tony may of been taken off the trial like Rastelli and they would of just gotten him on the labor charges from that March indictment, but being weeks from trial, could of compromised everything.

This is just my opinion based on everything i have heard or read and from other ppl i know. Ivy, if you think i have an ego bc i was offended by something you said i guess i do. Not asking ppl to believe me, not saying everything is fact. but if someone was to ask me, this would be my answer.

Around the time jackie nose damico was indicted a ruling panel was created by the three most powerful guys in the family. Dan Marino, John Gambino, and Bobby Glasses representing the corozzos. Danny got in trouble himself and later so did Bobby. Leaving John Gambino. He is the top guy left on the street. I have heard from more than a few ppl that John made cefalu boss.

This is where i dont have a definitive answer.... I dont know if john is recognized by nicky and danny as boss (official), and they have accepted that Cefalu is his acting. Or is gambino just a captain now who can whisper in doms ear if he wants something a certain way (eg cali). This is where i dont know. My opinion is he calls the shots. He sits on the big throne.

I disagree that manninos crew is broke. Full of degenerates? Yea they all are. But they make money. Construction, sports, machines, dont believe what u read these guys still move big weight.

Good thread, glad to hear some different veiw points other than ppl regurgitating the same articles over and over again

Skinny - for general conversation , not argument , what construction does manninos crew run? Mannino himself has a concrete company that's struggles 1 day he works 1 dy he doesn't. He has joe lanni who was mortage broker and got busted with Pete inzerillo, Lanni's house is in foreclosure and his company Closed.Pete inzerillo , is a scammer who lives with his Inlaws, the 1 place they have machines in that attracts whatever degenerates are left in Bensonhurst. These guys don't deal with real money unless its legit. I was around before these guys went away those were when that crew was golden. Mannino has no one solid under him. Lanni gets his ass kicked atleast once a week by some one.
Again this isn't an argument just want to shot the shit with u .

Also Dom was underboss before he got locked up no way John is using him as a puppet John doesn't call the shots, he's a capo a greedy one who no one trust.
