Week 9 Summary

Another week another QB out for the year (-4 points first). Another RB who gets 41 yards on the opening drive then breaks an ankle. Etc.

Wahh wahh! I went from 6-1 to 6-4 for similar reasons... you don't hear ME crying, do you?

(That's only cuz I don't cry HERE! I keep it off the boards!)

Week 10 Summary


There are just 3 more regular season games, and only the Top 6 will compete for the Championship. However, all 12 teams will be active in the playoffs to try to improve their final overall standings.

I feel like I've rebuilt my roster now. RB was a weakness but thanks to picking up players like Andre Brown and Shane Vereen who were injured and Donald Brown being the #1 back for the Colts I'm not doing too bad.Might start living up to my team name. Calvin Johnson is definitely nice to have at WR. If Case Keenum can keep from being benched I could be dangerous, like New York Giants midseason collapse then Championship dangerous. Or it could all collapse like a house of cards.

There is 1 week left in the regular season, and the Top 6 will go at for the Championship and the Bottom 6 will try to increase their final standings in the Consolation Playoffs....

Okay, so Yahoo says only the top 3 have clinched a playoff spot, but there is no way anyone in the top 5 won't make the playoffs. Only thing that would change is seeding.

The #6 Seed is between two teams, and amazingly they play each other this week.

I mean, I wasn't thinking Matt Flynn would throw for 6TDs against the Lions again but I was hoping for more than -3 points.

The game that really sucked to lose was the week before. 6 point loss. Ah well. Hopefully next year I can live draft and make better QB decisions. Vick was great until injured, then Foles but he got injured and it looked like Vick would be back so I cut Foles and then he throws 7TDs in a game and generally does well. Case Keenum was a good replacement until he got benched unexpectedly. Matt Flynn was a terrible idea, mostly in retrospect but there must be a reason he went from Seattle to Oakland and Buffalo ten Green Bay in a season. I think I started Carson Palmer for a game and he did well enough.

Jeez, my team was a QB Carosel. I went through QBs like the Browns...

Calvin Johnson was amazing. Even with a "surprise I was supposed to play but I'm not this week and you won't know until after the games started," game.

Reggie Wayne is awesome, his injury derailed my fantasy team and my real team.

Julio Jones was Calvin Johnson or better amazing and probably the biggest loss of the season.

And yes, I know nobody cares.

Sometime when I am on my computer instead of my phone I will go through the matchup recaps and get everyone's season records vs. every team. I really like that feature and it is kind of like rotisserie but even better because it uses the weekly matchup factor that makes head to head so much better than just overall points scored.

I think it is a better indicator of the strength of a team than points scored. I wonder if in the future there will be leagues played that way. It is like playing several games a week with one roster and rewards consistency and makes week to week luck less of a factor, but it is still a factor (and that is a good thing.)

Rushin' Mafia would be 63-79-1. I'll make a whole list for the league later.

Week 14 - Quarterfinals

Well I never!!!!

...and I never... checked whom I had going for Thursday and didn't realize I had 3! All underachieved. Guess the best team is gonna miss out on the championship ring.

Week 15 - Semifinals



Long-standing #2 NJ Giants (5) finally dominates Hot Asian Buns (1) to advance to the Finals, while his nephew, Breaston Plants (6), nudges out I.F.Y.M. (2) to advance as well. I.F.Y.M. and Buns will battle it out for 3rd/4th Place.

Meanwhile, Oogway's (3) bumps off Aint First Your Last (4) for 5th Place, dropping Aint to 6th. Lilo's Wolfpack (11) upsets Yao's China Buffet (7), while Just Lou (8) manhandles Yogi's Boyos (12). Lilo and Just Lou will battle it out for 7th/8th, Yao and Yogi will fight for 9th/10th.

Douche Bigelow (10) beat out former multi-Champion Rushin' Mafia (9) for 11th Place, dropping Rushin to dead last.

207 points for the win!

Good job. I hope you can do as good a job in the upcoming baseball season, and provide me with some competition this season.
