There's been several threads and discussions on the Colacurcios. If you do a search, you can find them.
Short answer - they were Italian, they ran their already shady business in not an unlike-mobbed up way, and Frank Colarcucio did know some real LCN guys, but they were never a formal LCN family. Basically strip club owners. I actually ran search with the thread title keywords and a confusion concoction of thread replies to threads that seemed irrelevant came up. Who did Frank Colarcucio know?

"california mobsters"
Those words together seem weird. I know they were out there to some degree, but it just seems weird to think about. Is there even any OC in California other than drug dealers, human traffickers, and car thief rings? I've never heard of any gambling or loan shark rings, large protection rackets, large bid rigging operations, or labor racketeering groups out there, but I'm no expert. It seems like it would be fertile territory. (In other words, there's a lot of money out there.) It's also already got a sleazy element (Hollywood). I know there was OC porn operations and Outfit infiltration of film related unions and I assume there are some computer and identity crime groups, but has anyone heard of any LARGE traditional OC activities out there?

Dellacroce, howd you figure that, your sources on the street. i got eyes and ears everywhere one of the guys, Tommaso Gambino was suspected of financing an exctasy lab a few years back. I don't think he ever did. They only had a tape of one of the lab guys trying to get some money off of Gambino but i don't think he ever gave it to them. He might be in LA but i'm hearing he reports to his Uncles in NY. He's supposedly real close to alot of the guys back home in sicily and at one time i think the Italians suspected Gambino was washing some of their money here in the states for them. Probably why he owns so many registered businesses. People may say he's just a joke but he's connected big time to both NY and Palermo. Somebody said a while back(mightve been ivy) that he had just gotten a patent or something for "gambino lite vodka" lol.
