The police were called several times, according to the story I read today. They were called when someone saw the daughter of one of the victims with one of the Castro brothers. Another time, one of the neighbors saw a woman and child banging on a window that had some planks torn away. These poor women were imprisoned and raped, and I read that there were five births, although the only child they mention is the one daughter who is around 6 years old.

What justice is there for these women? There's no way you can make up for ripping them from their lives they knew, the friends and families they loved for a decade. How can you possibly measure justice for that?

I just heard on the news that the potentially could each get four life without parole sentences. one for each of the girls and one for the baby. This is still too good for them. It was also mentioned that they are now checking on their immigration status

That's exactly what i was thinking, she'll be brought into the case anyway because the other 2 sons where living with her which implicates her even more imo.

I wonder if the Ashley Summers case is connected like the FBI suspect, i personally don't think it is because summers supposedly called her mum saying she was fine while Berry's mum got called by one of the Castro brothers saying they were getting married. The allegation of a nude woman being in the backyard in chains was refuted by the police today. They determined after extensive FBI interviews with the victims that this claim was unsubstantiated.

Among the many disturbing disclosures, Amanda Berry said that she was only outside of that house twice on her ten years of being held. Think about that. Most of us probably left our homes twice today. She was taken to the garage in a disguise.

Amanda's escape was the 3rd time she was outdoors. She apparently escaped by herself. The other two women were so psychologically abused and fearful that they did not attempt to escape.

Also very surprising that only one of the brothers has been charged as of today.

With more details coming out today, I feel so sorry for those girls and am feeling outraged and angry. They were only out of that house only a couple times in ten years. The oldest girl helped deliver the baby of the other girl; there were several pregnancies (5?) and they were in some cases punched in the stomach into losing the baby. This piece of shit earned his place in the coldest deepest darkest corner of hell.

They are apparently of Puerto Rican heritage. So they are American citizens by definition. They aren't immigrants.

Has anybody heard about the story of the Austrian girl Natascha Kampusch who was abducted in 1998 when she was ten, and freed herself in 2006 eight years later?
Her book, "3,096 Days in Captivity" is one of the best I've ever read. She's been a very smart (even wise) person. A girl with a big heart.

I believe in death penalty, but it would be too damn easy for them. They have abused physically and mentally these girls for ten years. Three lives have been completely ruined and have left a big damage that they won't get over in the nearest future.

I want these scum to be abused ten times more than they did to these girls and their families. They trully deserve it. If I was in the parents place, I'd get three more jobs and I'd pay everyone starting from the lowest prison guard to the Aryan Brotherhood so these scums gets raped and beaten everyday and NOT killed. So it'd be a bigger nightmare than for these girls.

When did acknowledign the US is chalk full of illegal immigrants who commit a lot of crime make one "anti-Hispanic?" I never heard anyone describe themselves as "Hispanic" either, is there some country called Hispania I missed in 17 years of schooling? "Hispanic" is a loaded term that has no meaning in real life.
