Uh, the Democrats refuse to even talk to the Republicans. I'm an independent too, but I'm glad the GOP grew a pair and decided to stand up to the party of bullies and thugs. As an independent guy, if you're mad at the "Tea baggers" why are not also angry at the "Occupy baggers"? If you are going to say "a pox on both their houses," then why only pick on one side? The left wing goes all the way from the Occupy Movement, MoveOn.org and every other George Soros funded group, the Huffington Post, The Nation, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, the AARP (which receives over $1 billion as part of a deal with Obama), Planned Parenthood, the National Education Association, the NAACP, the ACLU, etc. Where's the condemnation they so richly deserve? Why the double-standard? Do you really think the Dems would be so far to the left if not for all those groups? C'mon.
By the way, this isn't the first time we have had a government shutdown. Guess what? The world didn't end.
