i lived in the neighborhood 45 years and theres never been a guy who had the rep that scarpa did during his time. for that family anyways. there was tons of guys youd meet coming up,scarpa was serious as they come. for all the ppl toomy karate killed, he was hard to bare. he acted and sounded like joe pescis little brother... but scarpa was...well 'serious'.
needless to say when those kids took a shot at him half of new york was fucking shocked.
guy was dying of aids at the time too. was it known amongst the colombos that he had aids or did he keep it a secret?
