Honestly they probably think they are a part of the gambino family, till they go to prison and realize 'no sorry for offending'.

Not LCN, but, when I was in Tokyo with my sister we saw this dude walking down the street in a Kimono and a (no joke) a sword hanging from his hip. He had two dudes in suits on either side of him, one was holding an umbrella over him as they walked - which struck me as odd since it wasn't raining.

Anyway, long story short, my sister asked the local we were with, pointing at the guy, what his deal is. Our 'guide' quickly pushed my sister's hand down and said

"Yakuza"

I had to explain what that meant to my sister later... But that is my (less than exciting) organized crime story.

i think i ran into a couple in the southsuburbs

i was at a gas station one night and an old italian guy walked in like he knew nobody was gonna rob him even though he was clearly mid 60s to early 70s. he was polite, opened the door for some chick and her kids then walked to his cadillac like he knew nobody wass gonna fuck with him
