Yep it will be ugly and I blame every fool that voted this moron in. They will make sure every high risk patient doesn't make it into the system because they are a "burden to the system". people voted for obama because the republican party left them no choice I still believe Romney was the better choice, he just didn't sell it right. As for the first time around yes, Obama was the obvious choice because McCain chose an idiot for a running mate

DT all due respect but you gotta take off the blinders here. People can't access the damn website! Millions have lost coverage because of this disaster of a law. Did Obama even care enough to make sure the fuckin thing worked?! This was supposed to be his signature piece of legislation, one that didnt garner a single senate republican vote. This only further proves to me Barack Obama can't walk to talk he can kill all of foreign enemies and halfway restore relationships with other nations the republicans probably sabotaged the computer system they try to sabotage or block everything else that he tries

I love these vague stories the right keeps putting out. ottom line is the program w has some kinks, but overall it is here, it is not going anywhere, and it is going to work.
The right has opposed minimum wage, social security, medicare, medicaid and now the ACA. They need to get over themselves and get on the right side of history.

You're all nuts. Only time will tell. But even if you don't like the system (and I personally don't like it), you should be rooting for it to succeed because it's not going anywhere. Because when you hate a President to the point where you hope he fails, as an American who do you think you're spiting? Just yourself, your family, your friends and your neighbors .

if social security and medicare count as public assistance, that statistic may well be accurate. But who cares? The wingholes on these boards don't care about the truth anyway. They are too busy with Jesus and Santa being blond haired blue eyed white people. Not sure what you're getting at here I thought there was some kind of dispute about whether more white people are on public assistance than non-whites, and I was just asking if Social Security and Medicare count as assistance, cause if they do, my guess is that statistic is correct. The Jesus and Santa stuff was just a gid at Fox "news."

The Jesus and Santa stuff was just a gid at Fox "news." Well anyone living in the North Pole isn't going to have much of a tan But I've done a little research about this. Asians followed closely by whites are the most successful ethnic groups in this country, third are Hispanics and I think that number will rise in the coming years and fourth are blacks. Obviously there are more ways than one to measure success, but I think the stats were based on overall income. In any case many people receive Social Security and Medicare that's not uncommon. I thought Soc. Security checks came after you retired. But there's a BIG problem right now in that more people are taking from social security than paying into it. The boomers (that's you) will be retiring soon and you guys are much larger than Gen. X or my own generation so we're basically screwed there unless something drastic is done. I realize welfare, food stamps, etc exist to help those in need. But all too often people use them for the wrong purpose, OR they can live off welfare and foot stamps better than they can actually working. Why make 20K a year flipping burgers at McDonalds when you can earn 30K in Welfare checks? And speaking of McDonalds, their workers are on strike and want a pay rise. Well excuse me, if you're working at a fast food joint you don't deserve a fuckin pay rise. What are you contributing to society other than serving a bunch of lards more fat to their evergrowing thighs? Those kinds of jobs exist for one purpose: to give you the motivation to GET OUT of them. No one wants to do that or work any kind of food service industry job for the rest of their lives. Believe me I would know. So you do what you can to leave that shit behind This is what bothers me about America. We feel this sense of entitlement about everything. Well excuse me, life isn't fair, it's never been fair, so shut up about it. In the business world no one hands you anything on a silver platter. Should people have easy ACCESS to health care? Yes. Should welfare be used to help those who need it? Absolutely. Should it just be given to them? No it should not. If you give a poor family, uneducated at best free health care, do you think they're going to know how to use it properly? Not a chance in hell. If someone can live better of welfare than they can working at Burger King will they take that job? Again not a chance in hell. Obamacare stinks because the bill was pushed through without ONE Republican Senate vote, no one bothered to read it or question it, and it was flawed without anyone trying to fix the holes. Now the website doesn't work, costs are up, people are losing coverage when Obama said they wouldn't, and more ignorant people are going to receive something they don't understand how to utilize.

Shmoe I respectfully disagree with some of your points.
1. Fast food workers deserve a liging wage. Agreed all they do is serve shitty food to people stupid enough to eat it, but we can't do a "Bloomberg" and tell people what they can't eat. Besides these fast food chains are making a fortune in profits, and to pay their workers a living wage like maybe 10 or 11 dollars an hour isn't going to hurt them. And if the price of a Big Mac goes up a nickle, big deal. Personaly I never eat that crap anyway, but I believe in Henry Ford's concept that he wanted to build a car his employees could afford. That was the Model T and thats one of the great ideas that got this country where it is.
2. The Social Security thing is blown way out of proportion. There is enough money in it until something like 2040 and by then there will be a fix. By then the boomers will be mostly dead, and the retirement age will be 75 or higher. I am 66 and get 2300 a month. Think I can live on that? Hell no. I have to work into my 70's.
3. "Sense of Entitlement." I think this is overblown as well. Most people don't feel "enetiled" to anything. Personally I believe everyone in a society as righ as this is "entitled" to food, shelter and health care..even if it is minimal. It is just a matter of decency. I know there are many people always looking for a "free lunch," and in my profession I constantly hear people griing about how someone or other violated "my rights." I always get a kick out of asking them what they think their "rights" are, and once they are done with some crazy talk, I tell them they have the right to free speech, to free religion, to freely assemble, rtc...basically whats in the Bill of Rights, and nothing more, and then I send them on their way.
