i love this show like the next person, i wasnt aware of how good it was until right before last season, my gf got me into it w netflix and i gwatched em all while sick, until the premier w /no commercials, which brings me to my biggest gripe!!!
is it me or is there way too many commercials in this show, and in (soa)as well...compared to regular tv shows, or am i that entranced that it seems to go bye so fast, its like the network types find the popular tv shows, and push more advertising our way, which is when i previously flipped to the world series to watch my red sox, and now will flip to watch payton manning in the best nfl game so far, also btw the nfl, either is planning on big matchuos in postseason who havent played too much or they botched this years schedule bad, i cant remember a year with so many bad games, anyhow im pumped to see if carol teams up w gov ultimately to betray him and win their approval, the gov is sooo creepy, even to me, fing love this show, hate the every 15 secs commercials!
Southie (South Boston, Mass) my home town!!
Here to learn, lecture and have fun.

Paddy, Yes, lots of commercials and I hate their "mid season" break (Dec. 3 last show until Feb.). I guess this is the "new" thing. I think most people think it's just a silly zombie show. I love the stories, and the acting is excellent; not to mention the surprises from time to time. My favorite tv show right now. TIS

Another great episode!
SPOILER ALERT
Love how they kept the whole episode about the governor and the new characters. It was really good that the writers showed us a side of the governor that we haven't seen before.
I felt sorry for him when he burned the picture of his family. Part of me understood why he burned down the town of Woodbury.
In the beginning of the episode we see an even more hardened governor who has basically given up.....kind of on a death wish mission. But that little girl gave him some new life and something for him to live for once again.
Everyone of these main characters, regardless if you like them or not, have obviously been affected mentally by what has happened in the world, what they have witnessed and how they now have to live, which has caused a battle that goes on within their inner selves.
Rick, Herschel, Carol, Daryl, and even the Governor are all tortured souls.
Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

SPOILERSI agree. It was a good episode. It gave us a totally different picture of the Governor.....tho I still wouldn't trust him. LOL He seems to have adopted the new family and like you say, DC, bonded with the little girl. What happened to the two guys that left with him last time we saw the Governor? Did they show him kill them? All that being said, I was disappointed that they didn't show the rest of the cast. I really want to know how Darryl reacts to Rick's decision to send Carol "walking" (so to speak lol). AND how Glen is doing. By the previews next week, tho it looks good, it looks like it's centered again on the Governor. TIS

When they showed the Gov with the beard it reminded me of Forrest Gump when he is running all over...LOL
It was nice to see some compassion from The Gov. When he gave the ladies his name I thought hmm I wonder if that is his real name or not.
At first I thought he might've killed those other two men with him but the previews show that one of them.
Cardi, I didn't know the burning buildings were from Woodbury. I haven't been disappointed with this season so far. Mig , I know what scene upset you the most........ ......when the Gov dumped those Spaghettio's out the window! I know right? How dare they waste perfectly good food like that...LOL

Don't know if you guys watched or not but the Governor was on "Talking Dead" right after the WD ended and the host asked him why he threw the spaghetti Os out the window. He said that his character didn't want to accept anything from anybody. (tho he did take the offer to stay there)LOL. Also, fwiw, he said he rehearsed the scene in the ditch where he's saving the little girl, fighting Walkers, without his patch. When it came time to put his patch on, it threw him off a bit. He seemed to really like the role he plays. Talking Dead is kind of lame but also I like to get everyone's take on it and many times they have cast members either in person or interviewed on tape. Ok you guys. I saw this article on Yahoo by one of the producers of the show, Gale Ann Hurd claiming that the fans "want the Governor to redeem himself." I say hell no and wonder where she gets that idea. Does he redeem himself in the comics? Ok, so if it's a spoiler don't tell me. IMHO it would be a HUGE mistake. The Governor is a great villain and I sure hope they don't go that route. Reading most of the comments I think fans agree with me. http://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/walkin...-010428682.htmlTIS

I guess we disagree DeNiro, I expected Governor to want revenge, especially on Mishonne but Rick as well. To me he IS the plotting, revengeful type. I really don't want him to "turn good." The sight of him in the very last scene showing his return....I saw it as evil is back. That being said, the writing on the show is exceptional, and maybe....just maybe they could pull off this "change". We'll see how it goes, but as I see it now, it's a bad move IMHO. TIS

Welcome back Governor!! I can start hating you again. SPOILERSLOL Amen to that Mig!!!! No more Mr. nice guy. LOL Geez, he wants to be the leader and nothing stops him. What's with these women, tho, who find him appealing? Guy gives me the creeps. I WILL be happy to see Rick & the gang next week (last episode til Feb. I think). Did you catch previews, the very end when Governor is pointing gun right at Mishonne? I have a feeling next week will be one of those OMG episodes. TIS

Is that the first walker that was under the water? And how did those other walkers get stuck in the mud?

Mig, I didn't notice a cinder block. I don't know how all those walkers got there in the quicksand (?). Maybe we'll learn next week. I guess that's why they turned around and went back to the trailer area. So the Governor can get rid of all other potential leaders. Oh, and when the two brothers were arguing about stealing food/supplies from the campground they spotted, one brother wanted to, the other didn't think it was right to steal from them. Noticed the Governor taking in what they were saying and for a moment wondered if the "good" Gov will come out. Obviously not. He whacks the guy with the conscience an keeps the other. Ha ha ha. He IS a great villain. TIS

TIS The Governor is a surviver. I think that living in that environment, in that situation, one will do whatever is necessary when it comes to survival. There is no doubt that the Gov. has officially adopted that little girl and her mom as 'his' family. He's going to protect them at ALL costs! And speaking of that camp with the supplies, I'm wondering who killed them all and took the supplies. I think that we are in for a big surprise in this Sundays finale.
