Nice day here in South Jersey. Our town just dedicated a new town park - 150+ acres. Was the site of an illegal sand-mining site. In South Jersey there were glass factories that need sand for making glass. I took a nice 2 mile walk around the lake. Its nice to have parkland rather than commercial development.

Saw a very rare site here in Nashville Tennessee this morning, it was snowing. It never snows here.

Anyone in the Midwest (Lilo?) in the path of the current storm? I just talked to my brother in MI who said they are in a tornado watch until 8:00 tonight. He said it's windy/rainy but so far that's it.

A very beautiful day here in Nashville Tennessee. It has warmed up quite a bit since the past week.

Today and yesterday, torrential rain. Last night, just around 9 pmish our recycling bin got caught in a gust of wind and blown into the street on it's side. The glass container on top fell into the street and all my wife's empty wine bottles shattered on the road. In the pouring rain I had to go out and sort it all out. Talk about being sick as a chip

I know the feeling, Yogi. On Sundays we usually have several friends, who drop by in the late afternoon and early evening, to eat, drink and watch football. Monday night the trash goes out and the recycling bin is often teeming with wine and beer bottles. After windy nights I'm often running around at dawn on tuesday retrieving bottles from the street and neighbors' yards.

I often suffer windy nights Klyd, especially if I have been eating spicy food

We got 3/4 inches on the ground. We will be having a white Thanksgiving this year.

I had to drive out to western PA yesterday. The elevations around Altoona were tricky with the snow, ice and freezing rain. Plenty of cars had spun off the highway. A trucker and I stopped to help an elderly couple back onto the road after sliding near an embankment. It was a good day for tow truck operators.

Kly, the ride up 99 is beautiful on a clear day. Not so much fun when a blinding snow squall comes across the road.

Not a nice day in South Jersey today. 55 degrees at 7am and it will probably be 35 degrees at 7pm. Rain all day and windy. Played with the grandkids this morning. Poppy needs a nap.
