the finale on the steps is my choice for the most emotional part of the trilogy.

Other powerful scenes in GF III include,

Michael handing over control to Vincent,

The opening scene is also powerful with the decaying Nevada estate, it follows on very smoothly from the end of GF II.

I think that even out of all the Godfather Movies the third one is the worst it still holds some of the best scenes from any of the trilogy.

I agree that the last scene with Micheal's daughter getting shot is the most emotional scene and his death is the best ending to any film i have ever seen. It sums up his life, his loneliness mirrors the ending of Godfather Part 2 and shows that he was only a pale imatation of his father 'Vito Corleone'
Aside from this scene the passing of the buisness to Vincent is memorable as it reminds u of Mike's inheritance at the end of Godfather 1

I liked watching him having a diabetic stroke because my uncles cat is diabetic.

I chose the Atlantic City attack & diabetic stroke b/c I think this is where the movie really takes off. I also feel that it's a good example of how Michael has changed. In the face of nearly being gunned down with the other Dons, Michael is still very much the businessman and wants to stay legitimate while discussing what happened in his apartment with Vincent, Neri & Connie.
