Both links claim Pitera was a Capo, which he wasn't. The film clip is hugely uninspiring.
Doubt it ever gets of the ground. 'Nuff said.

90% of these sort of mob films are shocking Yeah, deliberately sensationalistic. That's why I don't watch them. And to be honest (and I'm not trying to start an International incident over this ), the crime docs about New York that are made by Brits are usually the most corny. The phony dialogue alone makes me fucking cringe.

This COULD be a good story if done correctly, but I'm sure they will mess it up Well sure. But the sad truth is, for every "Goodfellas" or "Donnie Brasco," there are fifty films like "Tenth& & Wolf" and "This Thing of Ours." There is nothing worse than a bad mob film. I'd rather watch old lady porn.

I actually have to agree , an English narrator on those American mob docs just doesn't sound right Yup. And to be fair to you guys, when an American tries to do British it's equally ridiculous .

The Brit DeMeo doc was pretty bad recreation-wise, but I did like the interview with the cop they got for it.
Love how they had the guy "playing" Roy was a rather dapper James Bond type. I guess the reality of the sociopathic mafia hitman being a middle-aged, balding barrel-chested heavy who fit right in on the Carnesie streets wasn't appealing enough lol.
This life of ours, this is a wonderful life. If you can get through life like this, hey, thats great. But it's very, very unpredictable. There are so many ways you can screw it up.-Paul Castellano (he would know)

Although the guy they got to play Gaggi on the LCN episode of Outlaw Empires at least barded a passing resemblance to him. Great line from the Brit DeMeo doc, "Andrei Katz was a car thief. A very good car thief." Pitera was a pretty fit guy, so I'd imagine it'd be hard to find someone who looks like him. And Ray Liotta as DeMeo?!?

I'd rather watch old lady porn. tenth and wolf was a decent film if I'm honest , although they tried to base it on joey merlino and the philadelphia mob, i think it was more a fictional story about what happens after a crime family dies off. This thing of ours was a piece of shit though.

What did you guys think of that 70's mob movie Family Enforcer with Joe Pesci? I think it put Joe Dente in the movie business and forged a friendship between the two Joes that lasted until Dente died . But what do I think of the film itself? To quote Bo Catlin in Get Shorty, "I've seen better film on teeth."

There are always exceptions, Dwalin . I was just speaking in general terms of the British docs that show up on Youtube nowadays.

The mob story i really want to see made is the 3rd colombo war but its too big to fit in a 2hr movie so they should make a 10 episode series for it
