Would pitera ever had been offered a deal if he agreed to flip on the higher ups in the organisation? Or are his crimes to serious ?
The Feds will offer deals to anyone who can effectively help dismantle OC. Look at Massino, Gravano etc.
Keep in mind the Feds cant sentence a defendant, all they can do is write a recommendation (302) stating assistance and requesting leniency from the Judge.
