Even though we lost i'd say it was the best we have played for years, people have been saying we should play the youth, which we did and we still slag them off. Rooney is frustrating at times, but did he get any real service? But he should have took his chance in the second half, stirling was a breath of fresh air to watch and i think he'll terrorise Uraguays aging defence. What Jack Wiltshire brings to the England team is i dont know. I confident we can get something from the next game but we must defend better..
Pirlo is something else, he just dictates the game and gets better with age.. Agreed on Sterling he was Englands best player imo, it's hard to believe that he's only 19. There was nothing the defence could've really done about the 1st goal Pirlo's dummy reminded me a bit of the famous Pele one, god knows what the defence was thinking with the Balotelli goal though. Rooney was actually pretty good, it was a good cross for the goal from him and he nearly scored himself late on.

In my opinion they are better off without him, i read that he once refused to be on the bench for France as he thought he was too good. He overated in my opinion,he'll have maybe three decent months in a whole season and is gone missing for the rest. They seemed to coped without him tonight. Again they were playing Honduras, if you think he wouldn't be a major help in games against teams like Germany,Argentina, etc, then i think you just don't like him. Football players of Nasris quality get payed multiple millions a year and get idolized, so they of course have massive egos. If players are to be penalized for temper tantrums, then i actually think Scotland have a chance at the next world cup . I have to say DE NIRO, after your comments about Suarez (less surprising) and now Nasri, i don't think you're being objective in your ratings of players. You should seperate the World Cup and Premier League, as it's apparent that you genuinely dislike two of the best players on sides that did better than yours this season. Also Nasri is not overrated in the slightest imo, maybe by Man City fans but that's expected. You don't see him in best player conversations, but most rightfully recognize that he is an elite midfielder. The complete definition of overrated for me, was always when Rio Ferdinand was rated as one of the best defenders in the world

Question is an own goal just a mistake by the defending team? Or could it be considered a great play by the attacking team? Because when you put a lot of offensive pressure on the defensive team. They are more likely to make a mistake that can lead to an own goal by the defensive team Both can happen. For instance this world cup own goal was just idiotic, while it led to the trajic murder of the player if that was actually why he was killed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFjke_ahBYYThe Brazil own goal at the start of this cup suits the latter more imo.
