Your giving the US less credit than they deserve Footreads. While Ghana were much better imo at least, the US still beat a team that the same Germany who beat Portugal 4-0 were unable to. I'd say that Dempseys goal is in my top 3 so far behind, Van Persies diving header against Spain and Cahills volley against Holland.

Portugal tend to get overrated on account of CR being part of their team, but that's pretty much it Cristiano Ronaldo is Portugal, who only qualified thanks to his hat trick against Sweden, as well as all of his other goals when he pretty much set himself up. Not to mention the fact that Portugals already weak defence has been completely obliterated with Coentrão out injured and their best defender Pepe suspended.

At this point a draw wouldn't be too bad for them. It all really depends on CR's form imo, he certainly wasn't 100% before the world cup since his pysio advised him to skip to avoid aggravating already existing injuries.

That's Ronaldo for you, pysically incable of being injured has carried some sort of injury at all times during the majority of his career, and is still one of the best player on the planet and potentially of all time.

Well they played a lot better in this game then they did against Ghana.

Get the lead and play the same way that got you the lead. You can turn a 1 goal lead into a 2 goal lead.

When I was a kid the Spanish started to invade italiam Harlem. They would drink beer in our hallways. Then they would piss and throw up.

So when I got home I would smell the beer, the piss and throw up. After that I can't drink a beer without having those smells in my head.

I can't drink beer. I am from Italian Harlem. When the government tried to stop tge heroin business there they through down all the tenements and replaced them with the projects. The Spanish moved into the Neighboorhood. They would drink beer in our hall ways then throw up and take a piss. So when I got home from school I would smell that crap. Now that smell is permeantly in my head anytime I smell beer so I can't drink it any more.
