Big Bang Theory' halts production amid contract negotiations

"The Big Bang Theory" has hit a stumbling block on its way to another season. Production on the series, which was due to begin Wednesday, has been postponed as series stars including Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco continue to negotiate their contracts.

"Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on 'The Big Bang Theory' -- which was originally scheduled to begin today -- has been postponed," Warner Bros. Television said in a statement Wednesday. The series, a ratings giant for the network, is scheduled to return to the air Sept. 22.

Kelsey Grammar's new sitcom entitled Partners starts Monday on FX.

Some Board members are probably too young to remember the original Candid Camera hosted by Allen Funt which aired back in the 60s. It was a pretty good series. Well, it's being resurrected. Mayim Bialik of The Big Bang Theory will host it on TVLand starting this month.

Candid camera was good. Candid camera the movie "what do you say to a naked lady" was better.

I never watch TV shows. Now I find myself watching a lot of shows on netflex and amazon. I can't watch them on reg tv hate commercials.

Olivant, didn't this show returned in the "70's with Allen Funt's son hosting? I used to love this show as a kid hopefully these guys can restore some wholesome humor to television.

Yes, from time to time it has sprung to life. But the novelty of it in the 60s was a delight. I think that the upcoming incarnation of it will probably illustrate sort of forced situations with plenty of exaggeration. We'll see.

I like her. Great personality and very pretty on the eyes. There are a lot of rumors that her dad is George Remini. All of those are wrong!

Not sure if you guys know but Leah Remini has a new reality show on TLC. In a recent episode, she returned to NY on a business trip with her husband and daughter. She took them to her old Brooklyn neighborhood and the apartment she grew up in.

Evidently, Leah and her father haven't seen each other in years. During this episode, her husband, Angelo, set up a surprise meeting with Remini's father. It was at an Italian restaurant and everything seemed to go well. Funny thing was that her dad's new wife looked to be about Leah's age.

Contract negotiations among the cast of "The Big Bang Theory" have reportedly been resolved, with stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco set to earn $1 million per episode for the next three seasons, Deadline reports. That matches the previously-unprecedented salaries set by the "Friends" cast in the show's last season.

Previously, Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco were paid $350,000 per episode. In addition, there's a strong possibility that the series — currently the No. 1 show on television — will be renewed for an 11th season.
