I'm not sure how obscure it is, but I just watched Crazy Joe starring Peter Boyle.It's a somewhat fictionalized version of true events. I was surprised to learn that Nicholas Gage came up witht he story and that (Exactamundo) Henry Winkler (Fonz) had a role in the movie.
Some of our older Board members may remember Paula Prentiss; she played Joe's girlfriend.
