With the exception of Joey T and Jimmy Ran, there hasnt been a whole lot of bonanno or colombo presence in the newark area. Newark is a shadow of its former self as far as lcn is concerned. Although there is still some activity, its not even close to what it was even 20 years ago. Silver lake was a tough area back in the day, Cabert was from there along with many others. Lodi was also a tough town back in the day as was bayonne. East hanover/ florham park has a few made guys originally from newark, the younger guys are a bunch of half assed numbers runners who think they are big time criminals. Total joke and not even worth elaborating.

Anybody know how much the boss of the family recieves? and how could they have lost so much territory, they had 6-7 captains (estimated on wiki and the documentary) and now are down to 3? one whom is operating in Florida (Abramo)
You think they earn well? I heard Lucchese Capo Vito Peran earned a little over 1 billion dollar in Jersey..they have gots to want some of that action, huh? Also, what if Frankie Polizzi became boss instead of DeCavalcante? then Riggi wouldn't have been selected boss unless Polizzi fucked up and got arrested -- and Palermo would probably not be on the rouling panel and the whole gay boss thing would also never have happened..
The whole thing is how strong you are and how much power you got and how fucking mean you are—that's what makes you rise in the mob. Every day's a fucking struggle, because you don't know who's looking to knock you off, especially when you become a captain or boss. Every day, somebody's looking to dispose of you and take your position. You always got to be on your toes. Every fucking day is a scam day to keep your power and position."

Henry you're right on one thing, they have 3 crews. All are in Jersey though. I think Abramo runs a couple of clubs and some drug dealers down Florida whilst he also has a small territory in probably a shitty neighborhood in New York, Harlem.

I hadn't heard about the Decavs in Harlem. I read about a former turf in Red Hook, Brooklyn where tinear Majuri had a crew. They also had a crew in Connecticut, I think. Most of the Decav book centers around their activity at the Wiggles strip club in Queens. They used to get around, that's for sure.
