I'm not to familiar with particular Mafia hits in the states or in Italy. All that I know is that this scene here from Il Capo Dei Capi, whether this actually happened to the guy or not, is pretty brutal. I know for a fact though that this bunch used to strangle others like that however, the groans and screams. Watch this scene and you'll see what I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JieH3QN9AIk

Vito Agueci (Buffalo) and Tony Capinagro (Philly). You mean his brother Albert Agueci? Because he got it real bad!A clip from an article on the two brothers: Their early success encouraged the brothers to expand their operations into the United States and, with Magaddino's permission; they would begin directly selling heroin in the Buffalo area. Both were eventually arrested in New York on July 20, 1961. Magaddino refused to provide bail money for the brothers. Albert's wife was later able to raise enough money to bail them out. Following his release, Albert Agueci reputidly began plotting to murder Magaddino but was killed himself instead. His body was found horribly mutilated in a field outside Rochester, New York on November 3, 1961. Among his injuries included a broken jaw, his teeth kicked out and, after having parts of skin sliced off, was burned alive before being strangled to death.

most of angelesco and giangrnades hits were straight forward bullets to the head or just numerous rounds pumped into thier body, but one angelesco murder was pretty brutal, he stuck a butcher knife into his heart and left him outside of a malden bar bleeding to death.. not that brutal but efficient. ROGERS WAS JUST 19 YEARS OLD WHEN HE WAS MURDERED
THE DECOLOGERO CREW MURDER, OF AISLIN SILVA WAS EXTREMLEY BRUTAL AND DOWN RIGHT CHILLING, HER DISMEMBERED BODY PARTS WERE SHOWING UP ALL OVER MASS, MOST NOTABLY A DANVERS DUMPSTER, SHE WAS ALSO 19 YEARS OLD.... kevin muese snapped her neck, he later commited suicide in his cell from the guilt of snapping a teenage girls neck... Its truly one of the only greater boston murder's in recent years, that they actually cut up the body... other criminals were lkilled and just left for dead..
we all know flemmi, martarano, and whitey did some sadistic shit buts a long story...

In 1963 Charlie Coup, a strip club owner from Utica NY was found in an abandoned open well in Oneida County NY with his severed penis inserted in his mouth. An autopsy showed he died after he was casterated, not before. It was ugly. the case was never solved
Been there and done it I am very much for real, so if you ask, make sure you really want to know.

Most of these mob murders were terrible, but as noted above, when "Gaspipe" Casso killed Jimmy Hydel he was first tortured until he begged to be killed. Casso fired rounds into his joints so that he would suffer. I also have to wonder about some of the DeMeo murders- whether any of them were still alive before being cut up. And, even though he was already dead, the time Chris Rosenberg put the victims head in a trash compactor and "Squished" it. The "Gemini Method" involved DeMeo putting a round in the back of the victims head, which would have almost certainly killed the victim instantaneously. Then Rosenberg would stab the victim in the heart to stop it from pumping. So if by some miracle the bullet in the back of the head didn't kill the victim instantaneously, the stab into the heart would have. The corpses were then taken to the bathroom, hung up, and had their throats slits. This process took about 40 mins. So no, there was absolutely no way anyone that was disposed of using the Gemini Method would have been slaughtered while still alive.

Francis Turatello's assasination had to be the goriest. On August 17, 1981, during the open yard exercise in the courtyard of Bad'e Carros, the high security prison in Nuoro, Sardinia, Turatello was ambushed by the NCO (Nuova Camorra Organizzata) hitman Pasquale Barra, Vincenzo Andraus and Antonino Faro, two well known assassins from Catania, Sicily. Turatello was unable to escape the ambush. Barra and Andraus held Turatello, while Faro stabbed him sixty times. In the ensuing confusion from the attack, Andraus was also wounded and would later receive minor surgery in the prison infirmary. After Turatello was dead, Faro disemboweled and chewed Turatello's intestines, then spat it out as a sign of contempt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Turatello

Yeah, I know that was the "Standard" "Gemini method" But what I wonder about is if any were a "Rush job" where they took a quick non fatal shot and then quickly started cutting. I know a well placed shot would be fatal but a "Quickie" may not be. I met a NYC street cop years ago who told me he shot a guy in the head and he kept coming after him. The round traveled around the skull and came out the side. Anyway, one way or another- just brutal.

Right now i can think of the two most brutal mafia hits.
The first one is when Buffalo Mafia member Alberto Agueci wanted to become a snitch and tell about his bosses their involvement in an international heroin smuggling ring. His body was found in a field.Over 20 pounds of flesh was cut from his body, his nose and jaw were broken and his teeth knocked out.A length,of clothesline was knotted around the neck, his hands were bound behind the back with barbed wire, his genitals had been hacked off and stuffed into his mouth. The torture lasted over a number of days. The body had been poured with gasoline and set on fire. The grass was burned for a radius of 6 to 8 feet around him.
And the second one is,when Paul Ricca visited NY and had a violent argument with a low member of the NY mob who insisted on calling Ricca,“The Waiter.” This NY gangster would taunt Ricca by laughingly ordering him to pour him some more wine, calling him “waiter man.”Shortly after these insults to Ricca,NYPD detectives discovered the nude torso of a body in a suitcase. It had been dumped in the NYC train station. The torso had been expertly cut off from the arms, legs and head of the person using a very sharp knife and other cutting instruments. The penis and testicles were also missing. Further, the NY family member who insulted Ricca disappeared and was never heard from again. To this day noone knows if the NYPD ever identified the person belonging to the torso, and the murder was never pinned on Ricca.
