where did joe " the animal" barboza figure in patriarcas family? It was widely believed in LE circles that Barboza was an associate/hitman for Patriarca. If that's what you meant.

yeah n.j. he was greatly feared and turned stoolie, they caught him I think in the 60s, and gunned him down. then he wasn't made by patriarca? Yeah he was never made.

I mean that the ceromony where he was made was held in NY City. That is what my best guess would be if I had to put money down on it. Much like Bianco in a way. Yea Binnie Barboza was nothing but a killer for Patriarca. Once they realized he really couldn't be controlled that's when they tried to kill him and did kill his friends. Then he was brave enough to try and run some rackets in California where J.R. Russo took care of that problem for them.

Dixie mafia, yeah, frattiano mentions in his book that barboza was hard to kill, but, then he says when Raymond patriarca decided he wanted him dead, it didn't take long, I may be wrong but, I think he was gunned down in san fransisco. anyway thanks to you and n.j. capo for clarifying that he was never made.
