BGF is a separate organization that been around before the Crips/Bloods umbrella was established. They have recruited members of crips and bloods. The current state is hard to speak about due to members being isolated in SHU and secrecy. Outside of prison, their influence is in Bay Area (Oakland) , North Cali , then somewhat Southern Cali. Internal leadership problems caused some factions to emerged also. But the group is still active in the drug trade and other crimes such as contract murders. Oakland is generally viewed as the Cali based HQ.
