Why did that chart have Joseph Stanfa in it? I thought he had nothing to do with the mob.

Actually, despite a lot of people/law enforcement saying Joseph Stanfa was not made, it later came out that he actually was made by his father via his father. See this link and look towards the bottom regarding the son being "paymaster".

Anthony Accardo used to hang with Anthony Borgesi a lot in the mid 2000's. I know that was a while ago. I cant speak about recently. Unlike Anthony Borgesi who was always a gentleman. Accardo was not.

He is probably released to a halfway house. He was due out in May so it makes sense he would be released there 6 months before he completes his sentence.

BOP does say 2015 it must have been early release

I seen Accardo with Anthony Borgesi and the rest of his crew on Passyunk at a street festival not long ago so perhaps he is still involved.

Good info. I haven't seen Anthony Borgesi for many years. Anthony Borgesi is great guy to hang out with. He treats everybody with respect.

I would hope so. That family has been through a lot. I mean, you play you pay. I always say it here. But he's an old man now and he stood up and did his time. I hope he has enough dough stashed away so he can live out whatever years he has left in peace.

He was considered a legitimate tough guy back in the day. Pics don't tell you everything, but the guy has one hell of a mug on him.

I read Bernstein's stuff, which is now free. Since we know the hoopla around Borgesi being boss was a sham, what's everyone think about Bernstein claiming tensions between the current admin and Borgesi especially around Johnny Chang and the Delco rackets, which Borgesi feels belong to him. I think there could be some truth around it, but I have no basis to it except for what's in the Bernstein article. Thoughts?

He was an iron worker by trade and was brought up LCN under the barracuda (Sindone). Somewhere it states he was interrogated at gunpoint by Phil Testa and Nicky Scarfo about his role (none zero) in the Bruno murder. To be a fly on the wall during that.

And the comment from him about hugging Tommy Del and jumping through a skyscraper window to their death is fucking classic tough guy.

Testa and Scarfo have to be some of the most voilent hands on bosses of all time, gangsters to the fucking core.

The same thing happened to Daniel Leo so I don't think it's sickness. Apparently some inmates qualify to be released into a halfway house to serve out the remainder of their sentence.

I don't know anything about Chang (or much about Philly for that matter). But Danny didn't have any violence attached to his initial conviction, and pleaded out quickly when he got hit with the RICO when he was still at Coleman. He was a model prisoner and on fairly "good" terms with the "parole" board. Not that it means anything in relation to Chang. I'm just throwing it out there.

And just for the record, I used quotations with "parole" board because parole doesn't technically exist in the Federal System anymore. But you get my meaning.

Hey Sal, yes I noticed it was you, I just wasn't sure how to add multiple quotes into my response. I will attempt to answer what I can.

Regarding George Borgesi, he's bumped down to soldier because he's only been out of prison for less than a year and he has to serve 18 months of supervised release (similar to Merlino) and can't associate with convicted felons or known mobsters until July/August 2015. Whether Georgie remains as the official consigliere, I can't answer that. It has been widely speculated that Ligambi is now the consigliere, but he may only be filling the spot for now on an "acting" basis.

Like I said, I'm not 100% on the whole Narducci faction. Originally, I did not believe that he was still involved. However, several that I have talked to from Philly said that they are involved and that Phil was running a crew that included the leftover remnants of the former Scarfo organization. As little as a few years ago, Philly PD caught Frank Narducci on surveillance at the Christmas party with several of the other high ranking guys in 2010, a few months before Ligambi was indicted and arrested in May 2011. I think Phil Narducci was on supervised release at the time (or still in prison).

I see your point about thinking it's dangerous to have those guys together. Phil Narducci is definitely well respected and a powerful guy in his own sense. Does he have a large enough of a following/faction (including associates) to make a powerplay against Joey/Mazzone/Chang? I couldn't see it. Those guys went to war to take over the family, and 90% of the guys in the family now are Joey's guys and fiercely loyal to him.

His dad did have him inducted into the family in the early 90's before he was arrested. He is no longer involved with the family. I did not know that Joseph Ciancaglini Sr. was released from prison yesterday, I will update that on the chart ASAP. I was under the impression (and so is the federal BOP's website) that he was imprisoned until May 2015. Thanks for the update!

No problem Sal, anytime! And whoever it was above that stated Joseph Ciancaglini Sr. was released from prison, you are correct. He was released into a halfway house, Philadelphia RRM, to complete the last six months of his sentence. I couldn't imagine him being back involved, I firmly believe he want's nothing to do with the life and will retire. He's 80 years old, hopefully he has the brains and the cash like PB said to just walk away.
