Typical rich guy thinking the rules don't apply to him, so he can change them as he sees fit. And then change them back when he gets his way!! ditto for guns. doesn't think sal the plumber deserves the right to protect himself, even in his own home much less in public yet this mope strolls around with armed bodyguards(who btw, i doubt are held to the same standards of the ny un-safe act as the lowly civilians it was designed to target) and undoubtedly has armed security in the building his penthouse is in. the sooner this yellow-toothed gremlin and all those like him expire, the better! Yup, and that extends to his liberal celebrity friends, like Robert DeNiro, who's the proud recipient of a full carry permit. He just doesn't think that you are I are entitled to protect ourselves in the same fashion.

Thanks Pizza. To follow up on the last caller. Would you say ibecause he's Jewish....... No, I'm Italian American Catholic, born and raised in New York City. So culturally speaking, I'm already half-Jewish . But you're on a roll today . Re Francesa: As much as I hated Russo, I enjoyed the show more back then. But I still listen now and again.

Add the 8 years with Bush SR as VP and it already has been 28 of the last 34, also Hilarys 5 or however many years as SOS. My point exactly, buddy. It's tiresome. Presidents should be restricted to one term. They can extend the single term to five or six years if they want, as opposed to the current four. But is has to be one term and out. And then their spouses, children and siblings should be prohibited from running in the future. It'll never happen, but I can dream. Right? Pizza, first time long time what did you think of Bloomberg creating another term for himself? Curious your thoughts. I'm not from New York but as you know I wish I was so I get the daily news to my house. Thanks, I'll hang up and listen. time I voted for him the first two terms, and would have probably voted for him in the third as the "lesser of two evils." But I couldn't get past the term limits thing. Typical rich guy thinking the rules don't apply to him, so he can change them as he sees fit. And then change them back when he gets his way!! In short, I HATE him for that. Bloomberg wanted to run as a democrate the first time. But Mark Green the Public Advocate got the nomination. Which was amazing to me because the Public Advocate is a Small time position. He ad a whole thirty people under him. So Bloomberg ran as a Republican. He got Guliani to endorse him because Guliana hated Mark Green. Bloomberg paid for his own campaign no one donated toward his campaign. I did not like Green but get this Pizza. Green actually showed up at the Giglio feast that year. I though cool he came so I was going to vote for him.

Green ate at Rao's and took a picture with Nicky the bartender. It's still there at the bar. But I'm sure you know that. And you also know that's not something that can be found on the Internet .

Republicans better something over the next 2 years or they'll be setting up Hillary nicely for 2016. God help us. No one wants to look at her tired old puss in the news every day. I've said all along that I'm not sure that she's even running. But if she does, I hope Biden goes out swinging and splits the party in half. I mean, he's an asshole and all. But he's a sitting two term VP. Why the Hell should he step aside for her? Because she's a Clinton? You are rght PB.. frankly I don't see anyone decent in 2016. The whole thing is so ridiculous, I am starting to ignore the entire process. The news media is lazy, agenda driven (some to the right some to the left, and some just to get attention), shallow and makes us think whatever the news of the day happens to be means the world is about to end. Remember, O.J. Simpson killed more Americans than Ebola has. And as for that other end-of-the world thing...what a shock that there are Muslim extremists in what is left of Iraq and Syria. I am SO freaking tired of these so called "political dynasties." The Bushes, the Cintons, et al. Their sense of entitlement makes me physically sick. I want to wretch when I see them on television. Two years from now, if I'm wrong I'm wrong. But I still say she's un-electable. Hopefully it won't even come down to the election.

great, I read a lot myself, just finished an older book, "the pleasant avenue connection" its' about corrupt cops, written by david durk, former nypd cop. great read. 25 precinct? They were into everything including extortion of store owners especially the stores that acted as fences and gambling joints and the ones that delt heroin whore houses everything. They probably extorted the local shylocks as well. They broke my one time friends store plate glass windows. Put a few bullets through his windows because he did not have the money to,pay them. We had a mutual friend that had spent most of his life in prision. He did not know or want to stay out of prison. It was his home. When he would get out he would see his daughter then go back in side. The two cops that broke his windows were always bothering John. So we paid him to fuck up the two cops. He did it gave the money to his daughter then he went back home.

yeah, foots its an ugly story, heroin dealing on a massive scale on pleasant ave, between 116th st and 120th st. in east harlem, the cops were getting rich, they finally busted them.
the two big guys were jerry zanfardino, and gigi inglese. and many cops in the SIU division. turned into a huge scandal.

But let's get this thread back on track.
Election 2014: Thank God it's over. Turnout was in the low 30s % nationally. In New Jersey it may have been the lowest ever for a midterm election. In Texas is was about 33%. only about ten or so states showed an increase or numbers even with 2010. Terrible trend. Speaks volumes, though.

Don't count out BILL Clinton from making another run. When you take that man's lack of shame and couple it with the fact that it wouldn't be a third consecutive term, it wouldn't shock me one bit. But it's just the type of thing that I was talking about in regards to these political dynasties and their sense of entitlement. It saddens me that I've become so apolitical. I was never like this .

He pretty much could if he wanted to. Grover Cleveland had two nonconsecutive terms, being the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. And, Teddy Roosevelt tried to win a third term after Taft pretty much ruined a lot he had worked for. Because both were fighting each other, Woodrow Wilson beat both men to win the election.
