I can't find articles by Google searching anymore and I find it hard to narrow down search results using the search engine so I apologize if this guy has his own thread, and if this article has already been posted. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/nov/25/frank-calabrese-jr-mobster-shopped-dadVery good article in my opinion. IDK he doesn't sound as bad as some rats. Others probably know more than me.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

I read his book " FAMILY SECRETS" and he was really up against the wall, he either was going to do a long stretch in the joint or turn to giving up his old man.
he chose to turn against his dad, who was a very brutal guy. [think greg scarpa] calabrese jr. while making no excuses for himself, just states he wasn't cut out for the life. he and his wife had a nice famlily and a good business, but his mob ties ended everything, my information comes from his book.
" watch what you say around this guy, he's got a big mouth" sam giancana to an outfit soldier about frank Sinatra. [ from the book "my way"

Yea he really didn't have a choice nor did his brother, Frankie Breeze made both of those kids collect for him. You can expect a dysfunctional family after all that b.s. Frank Jr. even gave his Uncle Nick credit for talking Sr. out of using Jr. on a hit.
You know he had to be miserable if he wanted the Feds to pop his Dad and he really didn't even ask for any shaved time. Tough call. If you push that life on one of your sons (like, say, Greg DePalma), that makes you a lousy father in my book. If they're drawn to it on their own, and you throw your hands up and put them in your own crew just to protect them from the wolves (the Bascianos and LoCascios come to mind), then it's a different story. It's Chicago, so I have no frame of reference to comment. That's why I used Bronx guys as examples . Oh, and when I say that pushing your sons into the life makes you a bad father, I'm talking about the American mob. Sicily and Italy are a different story all together. It's part of the cultural fabric over there. When your a male and born into the life over there, you honestly don't have much of a choice. In America 2014, you do.
"I got news for you. If it wasn't for the toilet, there would be no books." --- George Costanza.
