In the past 30 years have they drafted an elite wide-receiver? running back? Nope. You know what else? We've won four Super Bowls in that time frame. I get your frustration, though. You're not much older than I am, MC. We're spoiled, is all .

You're not much older than I am, MC. We're spoiled, is all . Just proves that you don't need to draft an elite RB or WR to win it all. I wouldn't call Phil Simms, Eli Manning, nor Hostetler elite. But they all won rings as Giants QBs. And that's the most important position in football, perhaps in all of sports. And LT was one of the most dominant defensive players to ever don a uniform. So I don't feel bad for the Giants not landing an elite RB or wideout in the draft. On a separate note, I saw a great Tweet within the past week. It said something about how the Jets are terrible, but not Rich Kotite terrible. How about the Browns trading Manziel to the Jets for their #1 last year? EDIT: Uh, that should be "next" year

No doubt the Giants won Super Bowls without elite players at the "skill" positions. They did it with excellent offensive and defensive lines, and that is too often overlooked. This year they have neither. So with mediocre talent and NO elite players.....8-8 would be a good year. I would like to see them have a receiver the caliber of Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Michael Irvin, or a running back like OJ Simpson, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton. They have had some good players; yes-Amani Toomer and Jeremy Shockey or go back to Mark Bavaro and running backs, Joe Morris, Tiki Barber. Its seems their star players are the punters Sean Landeta, Jeff Feagles.

... any chance of making a seattle seahawks fan out of you? Blasphemy! Too many years invested in the Giants. When I was 8 years old I had a #16 jersey (not a Giant jersey) and I WAS FRANK GIFFORD. A little Seahawk story. My cousin grew up in Fairlawn NJ and played QB for St. Lukes in Hohokus, which closed and he then went to St. Mary's in Rutherford, and he was a Joe Namath fan. He went to Montana State U and played QB there, married a girl from Spokane, Wash area and became a teacher out there. As a part time job, he was a sideline ballboy for the Seahawks (late 70s, early 80s). When they were on TV we would scour the sidelines to catch a glimpse of him throwing in a ball to the refs. But the cool thing was...he used to throw passes to Steve Largent in warm-ups.

But win or lose, at least the Giants get to come home to the New York Metro Area. The Seahawks are still stuck in Washington State. Because as the whole world knows, if the United States needed an enema, they'd stick it in the Pacific Northwest.

that's a nice thing to say. I like where I live up in the woods it's peaceful, and quiet, I can look out my window and see five little snowy topped mountains on a sunlit day. and I go down to a little creek checking to see if there are any little
gold specks from the mountain behind, thank you for your kind words about the pacific northwest, but, keep the enema.

A.G. sorry, hon. but the giants got about as much chance against my hawks as you would have if.............
you could walk up on a rainbow! No need to apologize. I know the Giants are not looking too hot this season. We got to see what happens. I think it will be a great game not a one-sided game like you say cuz the GIANTS want this WIN badly. I don't walk on rainbows I only find the pot of gold at the end of them... ....at least the G-men had the lead at the half AG, looks like a dismal year for us fans. One bright light - Odell Beckham. He could be the big star the Giants have been missing. Binnie, good luck to the S-hawks. That Lynch is a beast and Wilson has all round talent.

Sorry to upset any of my Chicago pals in here....but the Bears are really shit this year....... yogi. that is a very old, and proud franchise, you can rest assured their are going to be major changes in Chicago. if you are a fan, take heart you can only get better. I love my Bears and am the first to admit that they were embarrassed by the Packers last night. My grandfather worked for the Chicago Park District for years. His office was in Soldier Field so my heart is sick with this year's team. For those who don't know... The Bears or the Halas/McCaskey family does not own Soldier Field. It is a Chicago Park District facility. In fact, more Bears games have been played in Wrigley Field than any other venue. I'm going to go to my happy place now. Ditka, Ditka, Sausage, Sausage...
