Serenity now, insanity later. It's not a big jump for Cook County.

so are u against light sentences for kiddie rape or are u for it?
u don't make your stance clear at all Sure it's clear. You're being deliberately obtuse because it's me. What I meant was, that the next time someone complains about a guy getting an unfair prison sentence, they should be reminded that the system fails us on both ends. Because this was a fucking travesty. Four months for rape? Please. I think rape should be an automatic life sentence. And I think that kiddie rape should get you the death penalty. What pb is saying, and not that I'm speaking for him but let me try to clarify, in the world of karma everything balances out That's exactly right. You see, Cook? Big Fella and I don't see eye to eye on everything either. But at least he's man enough to post when he agrees with me (or at least to clarify something for me). But it's no surprise coming from you. Serenity Now! fuck the death penalty, death sentence, no tax payer money

$20 bucks says this restaurant gets harassed for any possible health code violation, liquor violation, patrons getting parking tickets, IRS watching the financials like a hawk, Taxes/wages watched to the cent, constant DUI pullovers of patrons leaving the bar, ETC, ETC. This restaurant will be under the heaviest of all scrutiny, I'm calling it. This restaurant will be like Merlino's parole scrutiny on Mark McGwire like steroids!
$100 bucks says one of you fan boys on here are planning a trip from whatever hellhole place in middle America or the deep south you reside to go down to Boca to dine at Merlino's for lunch and dinner for 5 consecutive days straight...

Sorry for the meaningless post. Even your joke posts have more merit than half the drivel here .

LaLouisiane-
I will give you that obviously you guys crush us in the Cajun food scene, however in the overall cuisine and ethnic cuisine scene the NYC/Jersey area is hands down the best in the continental United States and one of the best in the entire world. NYC is a world city at the level of Rome, Paris, London, etc. A lot of the top chefs in the entire world are trained in NYC and come from all over to open up restaurants here. We are also a melting pot of all immigrants who bring their cuisine here and we have the freshest food as we are a major import area via our airports and ports (Port Newark, JFK, ETC). For example, just the other day I had fresh, wet Mozzarella that was flown into JFK from Italy that day! (Paid a fortune for it too)

http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-a...=1&showAll=That little piece of shit George Borgesi tried to kill the waitress during the attempted hit on Joey Chang. These punk assholes, indulged by people like Anastasia & Schratwieser. More on that too in this article. It's pretty good. Doesn't shine a very good light on Merlino's faction. Granted all mobsters are assholes by default but these guys take the biscotti.

John Stanfa wanted to whack Geraldo Rivera! It was during the mob wars of the '90s when Horsehead says he was ordered to kill TV reporter Geraldo Rivera by former mob boss John Stanfa, who's now serving a life sentence.
Stanfa had just made the papers as the acting mob boss. Rivera had decided to ambush Stanfa at his warehouse to ask if it was really true.
Rivera and a camera crew stormed the warehouse and got into an obscenity-laced confrontation with Stanfa.
"Get out of here," Stanfa yelled at the TV reporter on tape. Horsehead says a furious Stanfa later ordered him to kill Rivera, who couldn't be reached for comment for this story.
"Geraldo Rivera, I saved your life, and I almost got killed for it," Horsehead says. He says that if Rivera had returned to Philadelphia, "You and your cameraman would've never left that city alive. I'm not gonna go into detail about that, but he was going to kill you and two other reporters from Philadelphia."

place is already a circus... adam sandler had a reservation the other night... His parents used to live nearby in the winter. He's a regular guy. Takes care of his friends. He's had the same regular co-stars for the past twenty years, and in Hollyweird that just doesn't happen. You have to respect that. oh yea i agree there big time.. The food network channel been all over the tri state area.. every other show their in NY, they have so many small restaurants an bakery it aint funny... But the Crab trap in somers point Nj is dam good.. Believe I mentioned that before and someone else really liked it also.. Not to disrespect southern cooking or Memphis area bbq.. But yea joe aint gonna have that kind of cooking... Unless he shells out $50,000+ for a good chef.. And maybe that friend of his chef angelo lutz comes to bocca to work for joe.. He will find a chef somewhere but he wont b able to strong arm him I believe The food in South Florida has been a running joke for the past hundred years. But they've caught up quite a bit in the 21st century. Miami is officially a foodie destination now, with celebrity chefs all over Miami-Dade County. The Food Network partners with Food and Wine Magazine down there every February for the largest food show/fair in the world. It lasts a full week. Boca's fifty miles north in Southern Palm Beach County, and there are quite a few high end restaurants in that town as well. If he's going to make it the food has to be good and the staff has to be courteous. There are some very moneyed people in that area and they're some of the most demanding restaurant patrons you'll ever encounter in your life. They might go there once to see a real live gangster. But they're not going to become regulars if the food and service aren't up to par. Everyone with a few bucks opens busy in that town, and they always open just in time for the season. You'll know more come summer. If he can break even from May to September when Boca's a ghost town, he'll be fine. If not, he'll have an uphill climb. Time will tell.
