I think most of these cases were before dna testing, now, I don't think they can find any dna now anywhere can they?
DNA can remain intact for a very long time. It depends on the environemnt in which it is maintained.
As I posted above though, in lieu of DNA testing, it would seem that out of 18 claimants, at least one would have pursued a prosecution.
