It was 34 years ago today that John Lennon was murdered.  It was so shocking!!! On one of my NYC visits, I was in Central Park where they have a "Strawberry Field" tribute to John Lennon. Purely coincidental that I was there at that time, a high school choir/band teacher brought his class to the area and they sang a few Lennon songs. Very cool!!  TIS

Every year, people gather at Strawberry Fields in Central Park to commemorate John Lennon. But, it's pretty cold here today, so I'm not sure how that will affect things. I have a friend who goes there each year, so I'll probably ask him how everything went, and how many hardy souls were treated for frostbite!    Actually, the local TV stations would usually give it some sort of coverage, but this seems to be dwindling slightly in recent years. Guess I'll watch the 11:00pm newscasts later and find out for myself. Signor V.

SV, I believe it was in May that I was there. I doubt I'd last in Central Park in the winter. I'd freeze my arse off. I am spoiled to good weather.  TIS

Wednesday I won at Power Ball! I had the ball #10....nothing else ---- $4.00. Hoop-dee-freakin-dooo!
If I win the big one, there will be a Godfather Trilogy party in Atlantic City. Invitation Only. All expenses paid; airfare, hotel, meals, but a cash bar (ONLY JOKING!). $4.00?  Wow!! Don't spend it all in one place now. Will that even buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks? Hey, at least it's something. TIS

The bloke in the sandwich shop forgot to charge me for my bit of cake today so we are both winners lately MC  Did you at least tip him well? No, tipping in the UK is not as widespread as in the US. Restaurants and taxi drivers being the exception.
