Thank God the Giants season is over. Big changes are needed. 1, Tom Coughlin should retire. 2, Perry Fewell, good bye. 3. The West Coast offensive, good bye. What is it? All the running plays are inside the tackles...boring...doesn't work. 4. Draft Eli's replacement. His time is past. Great wins as QB, Super Bowls, but...sorry Eli, you don't have it anymore. You and Peyton can make commercials. 5. They have the making of a great offense; Beckhnam, Cruz, Randle, Donnell, Williams. Find a QB. The O-line will improve. 6. Draft D-line, LBs, CBs, S.
Eagles fans are a bunch of whiners. Hate the Cowboys, but they are "Americas Team" and they do bring in the fans. I think the Bears would gladly take Eli . Actually, the Bears probably would take anybody as QB at this point.

They have the making of a great offense; Beckham, Cruz, Randle, Donnell, Williams. Got yourself two LSU WRs on that list, so the foundation is there Would you Giants entertain the idea of taking Mike Wallace in Miami in exchange for Beckham? He's a seasoned WR

your post is right on about the giants, but coughlin will stay, and if they took your advise about the rest of it they would improve, good analysis.
I hate the cowboys with a passion, its not romo that is making that team go. its DeMarco murray, and dez Bryant, I still think romo is a choker. Romo is a choker ? The guy came back from a mid-season broken back to lead the Cowboys to a 12-4 season and a Divisional Title, while leading or close to leading the league in most QB Efficiency Ratings. The fact is he was one of the best three in the league this season alongside, Aaron Rodgers and J.J Watt. No doubt he has a great running game to back him up, but when you look at the best QB other than him Rodgers' Packers are possibly the most stacked in the league. I believe the Cowboys will beat the Lions then bow out against the Seahawks but this doesn't = Romo - choker, the NFC is about as stacked as the WC in the NBA is this season. I'd like the Broncos to take it this year mainly because a player of Mannings calibre deserves more than one title and time is clearly running out, but i can't see past the Packers or Seahawks winning.

[quote=rockstar_man45]Baltimore had a good game plan going. And you're right about Bell. Without a balanced attack, Pittsburgh had a more difficult time. But how bout that Ravens D? Never allowed more than 4.0 yards a carry in 19 seasons in the league. No signs of slowing down without Ray Lewis or Ed Reed. In my opinion the only team who might have a shot at beating Brady is the Ravens. Not even Denver comes close [/quot
the ravens had a good win tonight, but, can they make it to the afc championship game, I doubt it, you have to admit Pittsburgh beat themselves. [ fumbles, penalties, intercetions] the next game the ravens play is going to be a lot tougher.

well, it wasn't hard for the cowboys to beat the lions, when you have an owner [jerry jones] who can buy off the officiating crew.
worst penalty call I have ever witnessed, throw a flag and then many minutes later pick it up. resulting in no penalty.
never seen it happen before, its called " buying off the refs" that's the only way they can win, their season ends in green bay. you can count on it.

Rodgers throws for four hundred next week, even if it's ten degrees. When the ref picked up that flag, at first I thought it was Tony Romo's tampon. Disgraceful.

Maybe that Fat Governor, Mr. Sitdownandshutup, contributed to the payoff. Well, the league must have told the refs to make sure the C-girls win. They needed "America's Team" to do well for the ratings, the image, and the Big $$ sponsors. We can't have lowly, economically depressed Detroit win....not with that thug King Kong Suh.

Giants fire the defensive coordinator and D-back coach. Its about time. Coughlin said all the nice things he could, but come on, 5 years and they were in the bottom 5 too often. Yeah, the defense was good in 2012 when they won the Super Bowl, but they had two great D-Ends in Tuck and Umenyura. Good coaches win with mediocre players. Bad coaches don't, but bad coaches win with outstanding players. im with you, as a NFL fan I find it hard to believe tom coughlin is still with the franchise. I guess they are going to keep him.

Chicago Bears hire Ryan Pace as new GM. This is from the Chicago Tribune...
The Chicago Bears have hired Ryan Pace to become their next general manager, the team announced Thursday.
Pace, 37, joins the Bears from the New Orleans Saints, where he spent the last two seasons as their director of player personnel. He spent six years before that as the Saints’ director of pro scouting. After growing up in Texas, he played defensive end at Eastern Illinois from 1995-99.
Pace is charged with reinvigorating the Bears after this season’s 5-11 skid. He replaces Phil Emery, who was fired by the Bears on Dec. 29 after posting a record of 23-25 in his three seasons as GM.
His first order of business will be to push the Bears forward in their ongoing search for a new head coach. The team fired Marc Trestman late last month and has since been on the hunt for a replacement, with consultant Ernie Accorsi, chairman George McCaskey and team president Ted Phillips heading the search.
The Bears interviewed Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase last weekend and have an interview scheduled for Saturday with Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.
Pace will be officially introduced as the Bears’ new GM at an 11 a.m. news conference Friday at Halas Hall.

NFL 2014-2015 Will LA get a team? Los Angeles has two sites with the legal, political and environmental clearances for NFL venues: the Farmers Field plan downtown and Ed Roski's proposal in the City of Industry. The developers of the proposed downtown Los Angeles stadium, entertainment giant AEG, have a few more months to find a football team under an agreement with the city. AEG has vowed to build a stadium called Farmers Field along with a new wing for the city's convention center. Here is the article: http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-0105-nfl-la-stadium-20150105-story.html#page=1

Coaches on their 3rd team are pretty much a desparation move. Do you know any coaches who did good on their 3rd team? Pete Carroll Bill Belichick (never coached a game with the Jets, but was named head coach twice) Bill Parcells, Dick Vermeil and Marty Schottenheimer won division titles with later career teams.
