Were those cited above 3 time head coaches or assistant coaches? all not head coaches, allen, asst, at Chicago, head coach 2 Holmgren head coach 2....... if you mean 3yrs as head coach, then they don't qualify.

Well, since the SB era, the Steelers have only had 3 head coaches each of which has coached the Steelers in at least 2 SBs.

Costly, costly fumble.... cannot believe this shit the cowboys finally got beat. the packers go in against the hawks,i will take the hawks. what fumble were you referring to, red zone. I'm referring to the Murray fumble when Dallas was well on the way to score, of course I don't mean to make the "it cost the game absolutely" argument, but the same thing happened when we played the Skins earlier in the season and came up short by 3. A game they def should have won. Not to mention the totally ill-matic catch that they recalled, I feel for Dez because that play wasn't one that many receivers are able to make. E: I'll also be rooting for the Hawks, I hate the pack with a passion, lol.

well, murray still had a great game, he,s a great running back. the catch with dez was the right call, he did not have control all the way. ball came out when he hit the ground,
next year for the cowboys? maybe not, romo is getting older and he has trouble avoiding the blitz. he's not going to be healthy enough for them to have a year as good as 2014.
im sure the hawks will win big, Rodgers is not 100% nor will he be. hawks defense will stop green bay.

im sure the hawks will win big, Rodgers is not 100% nor will he be. hawks defense will stop green bay. On Murray, no question an elite running back, so I'm not laying the loss at his feet, just a frustrating error he made. I'm also aware of the rule, and I was watching the game where they ruled in similar fashion against Megatron, rules or not, they both had possession of the football, and Dez took 3 steps upon catching and controlling the football, so I don't think that makes sense, even though it's been accepted as "the rule". I disagree, Romo has been dodging rushers for big plays consistently all year, but I'll give you he's been overrun in the pocket lately, but I don't think it's just on Romo, if anything I blame him for not knowing when to quit on those plays. Health will be a critical issue too I agree. If they add a pass-rusher or two, possibly add someone in the secondary, and retain Marinelli, they'll be rock solid. Totally agree with that prediction!

red zone, you certainly know your cowboys, and then I know you will agree that Jason witten is probably the most valuable cowboy. in the clutch there is no one better.
and you have a great coach in Jason garret, he really impresses me, and, I think he knows its time the cowboys draft a QB. with a good young QB, and murray, and Bryant, and jimmy jones staying out of it, you could be super bowl.

Well thank you Binnie, I think your outline makes sense alot, I'd like them to be able to groom a young'n at the QB spot for the remaining Romo years, but I'm stil glad JJ didn't go for Manziel... and yeah, Witten is just something else, lol. Are you a Hawks fan, out of curiosity?

yes, I am a hawks fan, I live way up in the far north, about 7 hours from seattle. and about manziel, hes just too little, and he was never that good, just hype, hype, hype.
I think that the best QB in college right now is that big boy from ohio state. the kid from Oregon is too little, and not a good passer.

I despise Pete Carroll. But I can't see Seattle not getting back to the Super Bowl to defend their title. The AFC battle next weekend will be interesting featuring two teams that have no semblance of a running game. yeah, goombah, new England and Indianapolis, both have excellent passers, in brady ,and luck. luck seems to be getting better every year, aside from the dallas game, luck has had a good year, but, I think new england will win It. you don,t like pete carroll? jeeezzzzzzz. you ok?

Really, I thought I was getting a reprieve knowing Rex Ryan was canned.
Now I will have to suffer through Bills updates with him being involved.
Shit.
DP your bills are on the move, next year you will make the playoffs. Sir, that would be great. All this crap I get every Christmas with the Bills logo's on it will be styling and looking cool. DP

I think the way Pete Carroll walked away free & clear from USC was a disgrace. For him to get an escape to the NFL and leaving USC w/NCAA sanctions showed his complete lack of ethics. For that I'll always view him as classless.

Carroll - 1994 Jets, 1997-1999 Patriots, 2010- Seahawks Belichick - 1991-1995 Browns, Jets (see my earlier note), 2000- Patriots
Parcells - 1983-1990 Giants, 1993-1996 Patriots, 1997-1999 Jets, 2003-2006 Cowboys Schottenheimer - 1984-1988 Browns, 1989-1998 Chiefs, 2001 Redskins, 2002-2006 Chargers Dick Vermeil - 1976-1982 Eagles, 1997-1999 Rams, 2001-2005 Chiefs
Allen was an assistant with the Bears. Holmgren was HC only with the Packers and Seahawks. Schottenheimer took the Browns to 2 AFC title games and at least one with Kansas City. And I'll never understand how he got fired after going 14-2 with the Chargers. As a Browns fan, I get that Marty was not a great playoff coach. In fact, it is painfully clear. But you can't win unless you get in the playoffs and Marty got his teams to the playoffs consistently. Parcells' success gradually declined with each team he coached. 2 Super Bowl wins with 2 different QBs with the Giants, 1 Super Bowl appearance with Bledsoe in NE, and AFC title game with an aging Vinny Testeverde, and no real playoff success with the Cowboys. I'm not mentioning to take anything away from Parcells - he was a great coach. He took over bad teams and made them contenders in 1-2 years.

There was a rift between Schottenheimer and Chargers GM A.J. Smith and President Dean Spanos. It became worse after that 14-2 season when four assistants took jobs elsewhere, and Spanos thought the problem was rooted with Marty. From what I recall, Marty wanted to hire his brother to backfill one of the open positions and even though Spanos and Smith were against it, Marty was pushing forward with it anyway. That first round playoff loss didn't help matters, though looking back it was to the Patriots, who went 16-0 that next season.

I don't know about fox, there must of been a good reason why Denver let the guy go. jack del rio would have been great for the bears, but, he went to the raiders.
I think you can do better than fox. I think so, too, Binnie. I'm surprised Rex didn't get a sniff in Chicago. He has some Ditka-like personality. What I will never understand is firing a guy & then taking a shot in the dark on an unknown. I get that SF brass thought Harbaugh was an a-hole. But you have to improve with your next hire. I think his replacement's main qualification was that he wasn't named Jim Harbaugh. If I was a Niners fan, I'd be very upset.

Thankfully it didn't, and a strong chance of getting Fox. I heard some positive's about him (he won't be like Trestman) and some negative's (he is Lovie 2.0). What is really different about this hiring is that the Bears hired a head coach with past experience. I honestly only remember head coaches with no experience at all coaching the Bears.
