Crazy part is he was offers 23 yr deal and he would have been out couple yes ago still rich. All his Brooklyn guys are all out. The mafia cops would be free there still be a lot of on solved hits. You are so right,he would be out by now. Annyway,a little more info on hime.Although he was the godson of a Genovese capo,he was real tight with Lulu Marciano who was with Big Paul Castellano. In his book it states that hes thinking of the time when he was young was that he was gonna be made by the Gambinos. He and Lulu hung out at a bar on 4th ave,Moreseys or something like that. One more thin.reading the book it gives me an ide that Christie Tick was from South Brooklyn, not from Dyker heights as his wiki page says. The book says That Tick knew Casso since he was a kid.

Vic Amuso shelved Casso, and told his guys not to help him in any way! Casso had a good escape plan! They put a bleep device in a pair of sneakers and smuggled them into casso! His crew would wait until they knew he was on the prison bus going to court then stop the bus! Its like something out of a movie ha!Amuso stopped it from happening!

I dont think Amuso stopped it from happening( escape plan). I think it had something to do with the extra security due to the first bombing of the world trade center, maybe the trial or just the terrorist being transported and Casso was very late going on the bus. I do remember it had something to do with that. The actual plan was a viable one, it could of worked.

When Casso was very young, we was a thief and sold swag. He would sell stuff at the 19th hole. It was there that he met Christy Tick. Casso shot a junkie in park slope and was charged. In order for the charges to be dropped, the genovese family was going to give the junkie either 15 or 50 grand( i forget which)to make the witness not be able to identify casso which would also mean the genovese would claim casso. Of course Casso would have to pay that money back, it wasnt free. christy tick found out and offered Casso the money himself so he( lucchese's) could claim casso which he did. Remember, casso was hanging at the 19th hole and told christy tick about the genovese family offering him the money. Casso's dad was an associate of the genovese.because Casso was a good thief and making money, Christy tick took a liking to casso. By the way, Christy tic didnt just give casso the money, it was a loan. The 19th hole was well known to wanna be's back then. It was one of a few places to go and be seen in brooklyn if you were a young aspiring mobster which casso clearly was. Christy Tick was a bensonhurst guy, not a park slope/ carrol gardens guy,

Thats verry good info,i know i read that about Chin offering the money to Casso. He probablly took a liking to Christie, and plus the Luccheses were very powerfull in the late 50s and early 60s.Tommy Lucchese was at the height of his power. So you think that the !9th hole was already opened in the late 50s early 60s?I guess it could be true, hope that Carlo didnt fumble some facts.its that casso was real close with decicco, and decicco was from bath beach, its a whole nother neigbourhood.guess 19th hole is where they met.what do you guys think?

Genovese, Casso would still be the same guy. He'd just be under Chin Gigante, if history were to turn out the same aside from his family affiliation.
A funny Casso story comes from the Five Families book. Gotti and Gravano are going to a Commission meeting with Amuso & Casso and the Chin. Knowing the heat between Chin & Gotti, they're in an underground garage. Casso looks around with this smirk on his face while they're going up to this meeting and Casso says "This would be a good place to do a hit". According to Gravano, he and Gotti almost shit themselves. It was the same meeting where Gotti bragged about making Junior and Chin says "sorry to hear that". Was this the same meeting where Amuso got drunk and raised his voice at Gigante? *Story from the unreliable Phil Carlo book*
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Don't recall that being mentioned in Raab's book. I just checked my Kindle version. It is. (The garage thing, not the drunk thing).

If you haven't figured it out yet- Carlo's books are ridiculously error-ridden both grammatically and factually. In fact they are so poor that Carlo contradicted himself and his own claims between books repeatedly- Carlo claims that the "iceman" that Richard Kuklinski killed Roy DeMeo only turn back and claim in "gaspipe" that Joseph Testa and Anthony Senter killed DeMeo under Casso's orders.
They ultimately are just venues for psychopaths to lie repeatedly and engage in apologetics about their "careers". You walk away from Gaspipe thinking that Casso was actually a pretty great guy.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison. I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate... for some of those guys over in Washington than it is for me or any of my fellas here

the governments story about taking casso out of the wpp, is that casso put out a contract on a federal judge, and a prosecuter.
in the video a woman explains it that way. moe, it don't take balls to mouth off in the joint, it takes stupidity, who they were on the outside don't count in the joint.
" watch what you say around this guy, he's got a big mouth" sam giancana to an outfit soldier about frank Sinatra. [ from the book "my way"

Has anyone solved the Christy Tick mystery? what mystery? Why he was released. I figured health, but you'd think they'd come out and say if he's passed away.
