Taylor Negron - Mr. Pizza Guy from Fast Times passed at 57 after a long battle with cancer. He was in countless movies and TV shows as well as being a successful stand up comic. He was one of those actors who when he appeared on screen you'd say to yourself "it's THAT guy!". RIP

His best role was as Rodney's son-in-law in "Easy Money."

Met him for a half a second at the Mayflower hotel after he made Easy money. He was with Joe Pesce talking to this older lady in the lobby.

It turns out Negron is a big big movie buff and recognized this older lady as an old time actress Syvia Sydney. Sydney was an interesting women she was in a favorite old movie of mine Blood on the Sun with James Cagney. After she left he told us she had an affair with one of tge biggest movie producers in Hollywood it was a big scandle at the time. She was also in the movie beatle juice.

He was like a movie historian.

That was when i was pretty friendly with Pesce. I asked him if he could get me in the movie Easy Money. He did not do it I just wanted to say I was in a movie.

I agree. Many of today's athletes could take a lesson from him about class.

I can't believe De Niro or Yogi hasn't posted this yet but Anne Kirkbride, who played Deirdre in Coronation Street, passed away aged 60 after a brief illness.

I was going to post but didn't think anyone in the US would know her. Was a sad loss..

He reminds me of my mother. She loved Memory Lane. But I hadn't heard his name mentioned in YEARS. The last time I saw him was when they dusted him off to play himself in "29th Street." And that's almost 25 years ago.

Years ago we used to get WOR out here on a cable package and I loved to watch this guy. Then I saw Billy Crystal's imitation of him on SNL and it was hilarious. They don't make them like this anymore. RIP, Joe. He kind of reminded me of Chicago's Irving Kupcinet.

I'm surprised to hear that he was only 88. I used to see him on tv when I was a kid and I thought he was ancient then. Boring and all. As I got older I found myself watching his stuff on tv... this guy was a treasure of information on show biz, especially the old-time stuff.

His most well known song he wrote would be Terry Jacks's "Seasons in the Sun", great song RIP.

Oh yea, I love "Seasons In The Sun." I also checked and he's credited with "If You Go Away". Not sure if he wrote it or sang it, but I do love the song. (I think I remember him singing it)
