The city will pay $5 million to the elderly mother of Nicholas Guido, an innocent victim slain on Christmas Day 1986 by hit men acting on bogus information from Mafia Cops Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa, the Daily News has learned. Guido was a 26-year-old telephone installer when he was gunned down outside his Park Slope home while showing off his brand new car to his uncle. The traitorous Eppolito and Caracappa had passed the name “Nicholas Guido” to then-Luchese underboss Anthony (Gaspipe) Casso who was seeking retribution against the shooters who tried and failed to whack him. After Eppolito and Caracappa were convicted of participating in eight gangland murders, including Guido’s, city lawyers under the Bloomberg administration fought tooth-and-nail to dismiss the lawsuits filed by six of their victims. But the gridlock was broken after Brooklyn Federal Judge Raymond Dearie ruled last fall that the wrongful death case could go to trial, citing sufficient evidence that the victims would not have been killed had Eppolito been fired in the mid-1980s for leaking confidential documents to a gangster. A spokesman for the city Law Department said, “After evaluating all the facts, it was determined that settling the case was in the City’s best interest. http://m.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-cr...ticle-1.2098449

Lol they said the same thing about the Xbox One. Actually, strictly technically speaking, it's very possible to do using your laptop, smartphone, tablet, anything if a hacker or the feds really wanted to. Next your TV will be watching while you having sex and give that info to "third parties" who will sell it to porn websites, all of which you have agreed to by signing (without reading) the 20-page terms and conditions of use. Somewhere in there in microscopic letters is the disclaimer which you agreed to. Be afraid, be very afraid.
-I shot him a coupla' times. -What's a couple? -Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times? -Maybe fifteen? -Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

I like my privacy so anytime I read about how a product or company can follow what I buy, watch, say, wear, or consume it catches my eye. I was using strictly cash for awhile so that my debit card would not be on file for hackers to get info from me or stores to follow what I purchase. That didn't last too long. I'm back using my card again. Ha ha ha ha be afraid of the TV recording your sex life. That was so funny Malandrino. I love your sense of humor.

Lol, thanks. Well we might laugh and exaggerate but it's not that far from the truth. Companies already do this kinda thing, and they're the only ones who profit. They bombard you with 30 pages of contract where the most important line is deep somewhere in there in microscopic font. If you choose to read it and waste an hour of their time you risk looking like a hardass, and if you don't, you're basically a mindless fool. They're pretty crafty I'll tell you that

Kayla Mueller, the young humanitarian activist who was murdered by ISIS, is from my hometown, and her family lives here. The tragedy hit home hard. Thousands of people gathered at our Court House Square to honor her and her family, and money and other support are pouring into a foundation set up by her family.
I thought her family made a mistake when they agreed to be interviewed by Savannah Guthrie of NBC-TV (aired yesterday). All NBC was interested in was to exploit their grief for higher ratings. Very Sad.
