Schools let out here early today and was postponed 2 hours yesterday. Too many out in the country have to sit and wait and/or walk too far and it was 12 which is freaking cold for here.

Looking at an ice storm next week, matter of fact looks like we might be heading towards Dallas Sunday to work a potential storm there

Found a Portillo's in Buena Park. I ordered two Italian beef sandwiches with hot peppers, dipped in gravy.

Oh, thanks. I feel better already. Had to go up to LBI (that's Long Beach Island for all you non-Jersey folks) - Barneget Bay was FROZEN Over....and that's salt water WTF! In the past 9 days, 12 degrees has been the highest, low. I've hit 0, 3, 5, 8. MF that's cold.

And yea salt water does freeze but has a lower freezing point

So far it's only drizzled here but has been cloudy/gloomy most of the day. AND freezing! (Well, freezing to me. I don't expect sympathy from any of the Easterners. LOL )

Ice and snow here. Just about everything closed. Probably the same tomorrow.

We even had a dusting of snow here in my part of Las Vegas. I stepped out last night while it was raining and it was barely above freezing.

The foothills west of town are still covered in snow.

In Ohio, the weather has been like the Pine Barrens episode from the Sopranos. For about 3 straight weeks.

I'll bet people would be surprised at how cold it can get in Vegas. I've been there in winter and saw some flurries. AND it gets extremely hot in the summer. One extreme to the other.

Funny you mention the Pine Barrens, since I live on the edge of the Barrens. In fact we are within the jurisdiction of the Pinelands(barrens). Funny thing, when I saw that episode, I said to myself, "that's not the Pine Barrens, it looks like Harriman Park (in Rockland/Orange county in New York). I spent many days fishing, hiking and wandering around Harriman Park. The ending scene; a fade away scene of Tony driving near a lake. I blurted out - "That's Lake Tiorati!" Having driven through the heart of the Pine Barrens; it's flat and as the name implies, full of pine trees, no maples and oak like the scene in Sopranos. Artistic license.

35 and raining all damn day here. Has snowed up to 8" already in North Bama. Didn't think we'd get any callouts on this storm but things are looking that way if this keeps up.

A nice, fluffy snow right now. Suppose to get 1-3". We'll probably get a foot.

This cold weather here so late in February is unusual. We may get another freeze over the next 10 days.

Oli we are getting your crap tonight into tomorrow. It was 78 today and after midnight we could have freezing rain and sleet. Only in the South.

Looks like we are heading out in the morning for either Arkansas or Mississippi since they are supposed to get slammed by the ice. I'd rather get 12" of snow rather than 1/2" of ice like AR/MS is going to get. That crap is flat out nasty. I've always hated ice storms and with the wind chills bottoming out Friday morning we'll be miserable out in that crap!

It was mild temps today, light rain and cloudy but no wind.

I enjoyed my stompin around in it.

Tomorrow nasty, so I'll stay put.
