Alex, I found this on Mafia wiki. Looks like Ralph is his name and he goes by Funzie and Rakphie Bones too,
"Ralph "Ralphie Bones" Mosca, (pronounced "MOSS-kah") also known as Funzie, was a Queens/Bronx-based Gambino crime family caporegime. Mosca's crew was involved in labor racketeering, specifically through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, loan sharking and gambling, and was responsible for receiving tribute payments from Greek-American gangsters operating in Astoria.
Mosca's bagmen in the Carpenters Union were his son Peter, a soldier who was inducted into the family in 1977 the same night as future boss John Gotti, and associate Dominick LoFaro, who eventually flipped and wore a wire in meetings with Mosca, soldier Carmine Fiore, and Genovese crime family associate Attilio Bitondo. He is the brother of Gambino crime family mobster Louis Mosca born 1946.
On September 20, 1991, Mosca was indicted for operating a massive gambling business in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, New Jersey and Upstate New York since the 1980s."

What does on the self mean? From a NY Post article describing "on the shelf" in mob speak... “It means ‘pay him no mind,’ ” a law enforcement official said. “He has no mob responsibilities, and he can’t earn. They’re not ‘unmaking’ him, but it means he’s not active.”

Shelving someone; putting them on the shelf just like you'd do with a book. You're not throwing it away but you're putting it on the shelf and forgetting about it, not caring much for it.
-I shot him a coupla' times. -What's a couple? -Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times? -Maybe fifteen? -Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

I'm pretty sure Alphonse Funzi Mosca and Ralphie Bones Mosca were different people from the photos. I've never heard of Ralphie Bones being called Funzi before. This is the Alphonse Funzi Mosca photo in the book Boss of Bosses written by the two FBI agents This is the Ralphie Bones Mosca photo from the famous FBI chart in the book Gangland by Howard Blum.

Alex I pretty sure this guys alphose funzi died in the late 80tys he was indicted with fat tony and a few heavyweights. He was the bambino concrete bag guy. He's picked up at big Paul's house. Theres a before and after picture in Paul's boom the cancer hit him hard in a year in jail for federal contempt. Think the guy bones was probably his brother and capo. But there 2,different men. But I think related. HK could help if he sees the post. Funzi was caught in a lot of convos at Paul's house with dibernardo another huge earner. Think both soldiers. Very powerful with there connections. Almost like funzi was the conduit to all westside guys in the concrete. Think he was photo at that weird commission meeting on Staten island were they got photoed living house. Re That was the Boss of Bosses book. Funzi Mosca didn't attend that meeting. It was Ralph Scopo the concrete union guy from the Colombos. The rest were bosses and underbosses I believe. Alphonse Mosca was indicted with Fat Tony and others in a separate concrete racketeering case in 1986. http://www.nytimes.com/1986/03/22/nyregi...ing-counts.html

ALex, here is a good article about Arnold Squittieri; "Meanwhile, he lived in a comfortable white brick house on a leafy street in Englewood Cliffs and sent his children to Catholic schools. Squitieri gained notoriety in the era of the Knapp Commission on police corruption, when he was accused of bribing three patrolmen in the 25th Precinct to release him after he shot a man dead. The bribe, rather than the killing, became the focus of headlines. On Aug. 18, 1970, Squitieri shot 31-year-old garment cutter Desiderio Caban five times at First Ave. and 117th St. A cop heard the shots, responded and saw a gold-colored Cadillac speeding away. Squitieri was captured after a wild, six-block car chase. Later that day, $5,000 allegedly was offered to the arresting officer and two other cops. They released Squitieri and omitted his name from reports on the Caban killing. The three cops were accused of dividing an initial $2,000 payment; they were indicted and acquitted but dismissed from the force after a departmental hearing. Squitieri, meanwhile, went on the lam and became the subject of a 13-state alarm. He surrendered in January 1972," http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/news...rticle-1.477014
