Wow, 61 years married. And a showbiz couple, to boot. That's really incredible because those marriages (Hollywood types) rarely last that long.

Years ago, you could flush your career down the toilet by cheating on your wife in Hollywood (think Eddie Fisher). Today, you grow your brand (think Brad and Angelina). Times change.

Anyway, RIP to a great talent.

What about the mathematician, you forgot about him? Lmao I guess 61 years is a long time being married in that business and quite an accomplishment.

Not positive on if I should post it here, but figured it was relevant to a recent death this month. B.B King's family (both daughters) has made comments that the late musician was poisoned. They also said that the family were not allowed to see B.B King in his final days. This is really surprising to hear..

Actress Betsy Palmer passed away at the age of 88. Probably best known for her part in Friday the 13th, among other roles. RIP

I was the only one that picked her.

Female impersonator Jim Bailey, who gained fame for his impressions of Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Mae West, Peggy Lee, Tallulah Bankhead and many others, died May 30 at age 77.

Also, famed folksinger Jean Ritchie, known as "The Mother of Folk", died June 1 at the age of 92.

Folksinger/activist Ronnie Gilbert died yesterday at the age of 88.

NY Times obituary

She originally gained fame (along with the late Pete Seeger) as a member of The Weavers, a pioneering folksinging group that formed in 1948.

Two legends in the world of folk music have passed within a week: Jean Ritchie, and now Ronnie Gilbert. Very sad.

Ronnie Gilbert was on my list.

I'm sure Geoff or SC will get around to it eventually. Additionally, I see Mikey_Sunset should get credit for picking actor Louis Jourdan.

Vincent Bugliosi, the man who prosecuted Charles Manson, died at 80. This is the first time I have ever been first to post someone on this.

I remember reading Bugliosi's book on Manson back in the early 70s. Only it wasn't called Helter Skelter, it was called "The Family."

Recently Bugliosi has been putting out books attacking Christianity in particular and God in general, as well as trying to debunk JFK conspiracy theories.

I have the book, but haven't read it yet due to school and life. I had no idea that it was called 'The Family' first. Then again, it does make sense with it being the title of a Beatles song.

Bam,

I might be wrong. I Did read "The Family" and that's how I first knew about Bugliosi. Now, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same book. Could have been another author.

Bugliosi gave key insights into The Manson Family in that book, which are still used in documentaries. I seemed to recall that in one interview that he said he was hoping to see Charles Manson die in prison.

After looking it up, there is a book called 'The Family' written by Ed Sanders (published in 1971, three years before Bugliosi's Helter Skelter). I thought that you meant Bugliosi's book went under a title change, and couldn't use 'Helter Skelter' due to legal reasons or something. I hope that clears that up smile.

By the way, Bugliosi only outlived Susan Atkins?

I think I was the only one to pick Ron Moody.

And Geoff - don't forget to credit yourself for Tariq Aziz and Gene Gene the Dancing Machine.
