I read a brief article about the story and there's a quote from a survivor about some words the shooter said during the killing....so we will all be able to draw on own conclusions but remember the nature of media and especially social media is to drive traffic to sites or networks.

People are dead and shooter is in custody.For now that's what's important.

MTA: LIRR train strikes 2 cars in Riverhead

RIVERHEAD - An MTA official has confirmed to News 12 that a Long Island Rail Road train has struck two cars in Riverhead.
Police confirm the incident occurred at the intersection of Mill Road and West Main Street.
Numerous units are on the scene.

I am just curious as to why so many want him charged with a hate crime. There is no question that it really was a hate crime but... he killed 9 innocent people and if that doesn't qualify him for the death penalty nothing would. Adding "Hate crime" to the charges won't make it any worse. Also who wants to take bets on how long he will stay alive in prison ???

The politicians that push for Hate crime do so for the crime to be used as a political tool and that is discusting.

MINEOLA - Acting Nassau District Attorney Madeline Singas announced the arrests of three men connected to at least nine commercial burglaries in the county.
Prosecutors say Joseph Borelli, of Brooklyn, and his two alleged co-conspirators Edan and Rotem Balila stole more than $200,000 in merchandise.
Singas says detectives spent months combing through surveillance video and finally tracked Borelli down on June 16 after he robbed a deli in Plainview.

Police say they linked the trio to multiple break-ins since January. Singas says they may be linked to other burglaries that fit their pattern in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens.
